wow, that stinks... I think typically paypal requires shipping the item back to the seller. Hopefully they don't do that with you as well. I bought some shirts that came to me the wrong size. paid like 12 bucks for shipping. but the guy I bought from set up using a thailand address or something crazy like that, was going to be 120 bucks to ship back 150 bucks worth of shirts. Personally the lowest feedback rating I buy from is 98% and have a pretty good amount of feedback to go along with it.

Thats very unfortunate, Ive never had a bad deal yet on Ebay. At least youll get your money back. At 87% feedback I think I would have passed on the deal. I usually don't buy from anyone with less than 98% myself. And the fact that its a guy from Newfoundland is even more amazing. I always found the newfies to be the most honest guys that would give you the shirt of their backs. I guess theres bad everywhere.
A couple members here live there maybe they could look him up.

Man that sucks. I hate to hear that for you. I am like Ring in that I have never really had a bad deal. Also with on 14 feedbacks and 87% I would probably have passed on it also.

This is unfortunate, sorry for your troubles. I've never been screwed buying or selling on eBay, I guess I've just been lucky.

Guess I have learned now, below 98% and lots of feedback = pass. Thankfully Ebay protects and offers a full refund on fraud like this, plus I paid through PayPal with my credit card so I will file a dispute through my credit card company as well.

I hope you paid using a credit card through paypal. If so, stop payment immediatly...I also hope you didn't have the money taken out of your bank account...If so, the wheels of justice will turn very slow my friend...I've been an ebay member for over 10 years and if I purchase anything over $100, I use a CC. Good Luck with Ebay, and sorry for the scammer...Jody
I have bought from Ebay before and never had a problem, but got scammed today! I purchased a Kawsaki 1200 trunk today for some parts I need for mine. I checked the sellers feedback and it was positive 87.5% from 14 responders so I thought okay it is a decent deal. Thankfully used PayPal and sent him the $150 + $60 shipping. Well my "Trunk" arrived today, well boxed. I couldn't wait to get home and get my trunk project finished. When i got home I took it right to the garage and opened it up to find a bunch of paper protecting a 5 gallon bucket half full of paint http://s2.images.proboards.com/angry.gif:(" title=">:(" border="0"/>
I have contacted Ebay and waiting for them to call me back and my next call is to the police to report him for fraud. I will get my money back through Ebay, but it really leaves a bad taste in your mouth and makes me leery to use Ebay again. The seller is listed as "L. Pelley" (Lee Pelley from Newfoundland). I would guess his listings will be pulled off shortly, but if you see any listings from him don't buy! The worst part of this, it is a fellow Canadian
Even when we take the appropriate steps there are still lowlife out there taking advantage of others. Guess I might just buy a trunk from an actual store...

Wow, that is just dirty. I hope everything works out for you. It's hard to believe that someone would do that.

If your looking for a trunk I will have an extra 1200 Venture trunk next week.
I'm getting it only because it comes with a Wompus rack.
