I am thinking about putting a set of Metzler tires on my Nomad. Most of my riding is all highway. What kind of mileage can i expect to get out of them. Thanks

Theres are already lots of posts about the Metzelers here, but Id suggest you choose another brand, Avons, or Dunlops have been good choices. The ME880's are not as good as they used to be.
A car tire is a good choice for the rear, lots of info here on them as well.

I think most of them are now made in Brazil and the quality isn't what it once was.

Keep on thinking...I wouldn't buy Metzelers again as long as there's another choice.

If you look at Metz, look for them to be made in Germany. The SA made aren't worth the powder to blow to hell.

These guys are right. I've got the 880's on now, and they're just not worth it. I'm still going to wait until they wear a bit more before replacing.

Thanks, Mark...

I got 12k miles out of my last rear ME880 and still had some miles left, but.... it was cupped pretty bad at that stage and was causing front end shake. If I had not got these white walls cheap from an estate sale, I probably would have gone with some other brand! :)
