Unless you can do all the work yourself, you will probably spend $800 to the the inner and outer fairing, brackets, paint and quality radio. YOu will also have to do something with the gauge holes, provided you are not going to add gauges.

There are quite a few options out there now. WideOpenCustom, Reckless, Tsukayu and I think Rifle make nice units for the Nomad. At one time there were few options except the HD. I looked at that option but figured I would be spending more for the conversion than the WOC I installed. I am not saying don't go HD. Like johnnyg said, if you have the time and skills it could turn out very well.

Keep your eyes open for deals on craigslist, kiji etc. I picked up a Premeux fairing for under 1,000 cdn that was on a nomad for a couple of months. He had it painted, stereo installed etc, then sold his bike and bought a Harley Ultra. I had planned to buy a reckless fairing, but as my wife so aptly pointed out, by the time I paid for shipping, had it painted, bought a stereo and speakers I would around the same price and couldn't enjoy it right away. Who am I to argue with a beautiful, smart woman who says go buy this for your bike http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif
