Vance & Hines Header Gaskets

I will need to take off the Vance & Hines when I do the swing arm service. I think someone posted that the HD gaskets work well rather than the OEMs.

Can someone confirm what they used for this?

Well you could try your Kawasaki dealer, they might have the gaskets in stock. Mine never did. I thought I had the HD part # written in a paper in my service manual, but I don't. Someone may be along with the HD # soon.

Stock Vulcan gaskets work fine. I'm told that the HD 96 cu in gaskets also work. I have the V&H head pipes w/ Bassani Exhaust.

Indeed...the OEM gaskets work fine on the V&H...

HD part is same gasket, number is on tech section of this site.
It's HD 17048-98

I use the Harley gaskets as they are always in stock. My Kawi dealer never has any. The Harley ones are cheaper too.
