View Full Version : WOW! What a difference a car tire makes!!

Holy sh*t! It carves corners like it's on rails now, and brakes like right now stopping!

I fully expect to get 40,000 miles out of it easily, even with my aggressive accelerating and stopping. I wish I had done this years ago.

OK, the tire isn't even here yet, but I wanted to try out the cult language and see if I've got it down well enough to join the group, or if I'll have to practice it a little more. :)

Am I close enough to be trusted with the secret passwords and handshakes? http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Sorry in advance to those who will take this too seriously and not want to let me in the secret meetings as punishment for pulling your chain http://s2.images.proboards.com/angry.gif:(" title=">:(" border="0"/>

I'll tell you - I left off the WANNABE, and I went back and added it.

When you do order your tire Dan; make sure it has a mud and snow rating for your off road adventures. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Ah Dan, we never talk about passwords and secret handshakes on an open forum. In fact we don't even know what you're talking about.

When we think you're ready . . . you will be contacted. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I just about ran out and bought me a DS tire on that statement alone!
Then I heard "April Fools" and my heart sank!

Actually Dan I'm looking forward to your critique on how the car tire handles from your point of view. Since you boldly take your nomad where others only dream, your perspective will be interesting. Though I think you will need to do it in chapters. Like the first 100 miles, then after 500 miles, then after you find your psi sweet spot. Please keep us informed when you do get your car tire.

I'll do a serious one when I get it on and some testing done :)

Dan, Dan, Dan. You must not trifle with the Darkside. There is now a strong disturbance in the force. I'm sorry to inform you that the "Darkside Enforcer" has been dispatched to Denver. The "Enforcer" will have to correct your misdeed. Don't resist his commands when he arrives! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

This is too funny (but perhaps you would have needed to be here). After writing my above post, I went to check the mail and my Car tire, and the Avon Cobra front tire were both leaning next to my door.

I ordered them from different places of course, but they both got here at the same time, as did the Dyna beads that came from a third supplier.

Bob, perhaps I'm totally in tune with the force, and unknown to me, having one outside the door prompted the post.

Well...maybe not :)

Not even a mile less. The Darkside has informants all over the place who will report you to the authorities. Violate the rules and they pay you a visit you in the middle of the night
