FYI,
It was suggested by Steve "Ringadingh" that we create and develope a Technical area for KawaNOW.

It is located below the Garage Board and sports various boards concerning Electrical, Mechanical, etc. These areas will be read only for registered members. Technical information will be added as time goes by.

Help me congratulate Ring for a great idea.

Great insight, Ring. Shut up and iron your pants, BD, or I might have to come out to California and visit you. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Great idea Ring....now if we only had a section devoted to (sorry Dan) "Darkside."
I suggested this months ago but was voted down. Since more are going this route, would be easier for members to research.

Nice one Ring. Maybe now we won't need a sticky on wiring driving lights after all.

I feel a disturbance in the force........
I have a feeling the new Tires/Wheels will be the new Darkside

Thanks everyone; Id been thinking about something like this for a while now and I think it will help everyone find the important and frequently asked questions a lot quicker, and things will be easy to find when your servicing your bikes, or looking for an answer to some of the more commonly asked questions.
The Garage board will remain and operate as it always has, but the new boards are set up as a read only, and are accessable only by the staff. A lot of you have some good ideas that we will be able to incorporate on these boards so everyone will be able to find an solution or answer quickly.
They are intended to help you find answers without having to rely on the old search feature that does a poor job at best. Therefore we will post the most common topics such as tires, where you could look up sizes and brands and perhaps some links to other tire sights for reference, or electrical where you will find how to wire a relay and fuse panel, perhaps some basic troubleshooting, or on the engine, it will give some of the common services that are required.
These new boards along with looking at Gadgets Fixit sight which a lot of us have used in the past have a wealth of knowledge that should be able to keep your bike running under most circumstances.
We'll start adding posts very shortly and will update the boards as revelant topics arise.
Steve

Some mods may be posted there depending on the mechanical or electrical apptitude required, we'll see as things unfold. For the most part they can still be discussed on this board or the original garage board as before.
