You're right.....I've never seen long rails like those. I still don't remember ever seeing a green/titanium before. Maybe my memory is failing. They say that's the second thing to go. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Mitch,
Check out the saddlebag rails....they are backward. They are a three point boltdown....but the two points should be at the rear of the bag, with the single point to the front. These come way down the back of the bag...kind of awkward looking...

Kris, I thought they were mounted backwards after Timebandit mentioned it. They sure look long mounted that way. Tell me, was there a green/titanium color combination?

I don't know that the rails are longer but it does look like he started the mounting way back on the top of the bag and maybe bent them down at the back?

I was kinda wondering how he got that thing up onto the deck. It looks kind of small and high. Is this one of Dans cousins? ??? http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Maybe that is why he is selling it?

He's selling from Spokane with an Oregon phone number.

That's not unusual.

I live in NC and have a FL number. With a 14 & 11 year old in FL it's easier for them to call a local number.

That trailer doesn't have a redwood deck.

I wonder if the curtains are polyester?

First, an 800lb. bike is on a raised deck! How the hell did he do that?

Yeah, now that you mention it, the top rails are backwards and the bend goes over the back of the bag. I didn't notice it until you mentioned it. Heck, the main reason I installed the rails on mine is because I was clobbering the right-side saddlebag with my boot every time I mounted or dismounted.

Not at all. His just happened to be the first one that came to mind. We saw a couple of green/titanium Nomads in the parking lot at Cyclefest yesterday.

Green/Silver here too (pic is from last year, before the rails):

I looked for a very long time at how my bag rails went on, and I almost did them that way until I figured it out (long before I did any drilling). Big obvious oops for that guy.. heh

Didn't remember BD's combo or Taranis. Sorry bout that guys. They are pretty rare though. I think I've seen more Black and Red/Titanium than any. Pearl White would have to look great.

The bag rails installed backwards is a prime example of what happens when someone that doesn't know what they are doing trys to fix, or modify something. ::)

My fear of having this happen to me is why I don't attempt these things!! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Not having rails on my Nomad, I didn't even notice the rails and when I went back to have a second look I just thought they might be custom made. But I thought the big deal was that it was on the raised deck, like hmsregalnadness did. .......and why would you want your bike up there anyway? And really,... a ramp??? who is this guy?

56K on a four to five year old bike? Thats more than 11.2K per year in Spokane? I can't put 11K on mine in a year and I live in south Texas.

The Metalic Dark Green/Metallic Phantom Silver was the official superior color for 2006. I think the other color was something they called Ebony - whatever that is. I like mine just fine. All the official colors are listed at the beginning of the web sight under Kawanow Nirvana. Have fun looking up each years color. Hope you are all having a great start up to this new riding season.

I think that Stevie Wonder and that guy from the Beatles sang a song about that other 2006 color combo http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif

I live about 20 miles from the city of Spokane and I have personally seen this bike and met the dude who owns it. The conversation came up about the installation of his top rails and I believe he said he just liked the look of that position better. I put mine on after my wife put a tiny scratch on the front top of the right bag with her boot while getting on.

Yes RickyBoy, so true! It's not that I don't like green, it has it's place. But on a bike, it sorta reminds me of moss growing and translates to slow. That's just me!!!!

That tank bib looks great bro!

In 2006 you could get a plain all-black http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif color choice or the Metallic Dark Green/Metallic Phantom Silver.

Like CJ said, BD has one, so do I and Mac has one two. I've seen several others on the forum with that color.
