Pirelli Night Dragon tire

A friend just got back from Montana with the new tire and to our surprise, they are made in Brazil. Looked on the Pirelli website and cannot find anything saying the tires are manufactured in Brazil. We got a really good price compared to buying a tire in Canada but at the border duty was charged because they are not American made.

Is anyone running Pirelli tires and what do you think of them?

I think Pirelli owns Mezeler and both now manufacture in Brazil. I have had metzeler 880s and loiked them except problems with sidewalls on a front and scallop like separation on a rear. Both were made on Brazil.

I'm running Pirelli MT66 tires front and rear. I don't have that many miles on them yet, but so far, I like them.

I havn't had a Pirelli tire in many years, but they used to be good tires. I don't know how they stack up against todays choices though. I think Pirelli and Metzeler are made in the same place in Brazil from what Ive heard.
