I gather from the discussion that going to the "darkside" means that you are installing a "car" tire on the rear wheel? Please explain reasons why and tires you recommend. Thanks.

I believe the main benefit is that the tire generally lasts longer (needs fewer replacements).

It is because you can get cool stickers that say "Darkside" to put on your bike!

I got my SP9000 sitting here waiting on the next tire change and swing arm service ;) just gotta wait on that damn expensive brickstone to wear down enough to justify tossing it.

Thanks for all of the advice. Once I wear down the originals I will probably switch. I guess the challenge is finding someone in your area willing to mount the tire. Okay, second "dumb" question...what are dynabeads?

dynabeads are placed inside the tire to balance it.they replace
the wheel wieghts that are normally used on the outside of the
wheel to balance the tire.
