I would like to replace the stock 2008 Nomad grips with something a bit smaller in diameter. Like the guy in the Burger King commercial, I have small hands. Well maybe not that small but I have trouble being comfortable on long rides with my cold weather or padded gloves.
Any suggestions?

The stock grips are probably as small as youll find for 1" diameter bars. If its really a big problem you could switch to 7/8" bars, but that may cause problems fitting the control pods and levers, as well as changing the twist grip assy.
You could also cut the ends off the stock bars and weld 7/8" tube in their place, but you would still have to replace the twist grip.
Id just leave it myself as it seems like one of those things that is a compromise no matter how you do it.

Hey Krash you just ruined my chance for a dig at you. I was just going to mention the guy in the Burger King commercial and you went and mentioned it yourself. Like Ring says, the stock grips are probably about as small as you will find.

What do you think about using a Cruise Control (Throttle Lock), or a Rocker?
Would any of these help to releive my throttle claw? (Arthur Itus and Old Man Age)
I have never used any of thes products any info would be helpful.

I have a brakeaway on my nomad and wouldn't be without it. It just makes it nicer on even short rides.

How about going to a golf shop and getting some of the leather wrap that they put on club handles?
