Ok, enough of the discussions about routes, camping, etc. This is about who's actually coming to the rally. If it is your plan to attend the rally, please post in this thread. EVEN IF IT IS MAYBE! I'd like to get some idea of what we are looking at in terms of numbers.

Wonder where the NC/SC gang are. I thought that Kawhead, Kawgirl, Todd, Nomadsomething (the fellow from Rock Hill SC), Big Dave and possibly Bokobob were all attendees?
Have you cross referenced to the Hotel list yet?

Ross, many of these people have posted before that they will have to wait until later before they decide due to other obligations. We will have a better idea as the time grows closer. Some will be added, some will have to drop out. That is the nature of our current economic environment.

Pat and I will not be able to attend the rally this year due to the recent arrival of our new grandson, as we will be helping out with him for the next several weeks. We hope to make it next time and also be at the National Rally at Deals Gap next year.

Looks like you have to take me off the attendance list also. This leg injury will take time to heal, I need to have hand surgery next month, and a work related conference came up that I should attend. In other words, life is getting in the way.

Tried to post a note but am not sure if it got through so this may be redundant....anyway,
I have a reservation at the Day's Inn for Wed and Thurs nights.....plan to start out from Charlotte NC area on Tuesday adn take I 77 to the NC/VA border area (Fancy Gap, VA) and then onto the Blue Ridge....It will likely take me until Wed to make it all the way as I won't be burnign up the road, especially on the parkway...Anybody travellign that way at that time and wants company, please let me know..

I have never attended a rally and do not know the ropes....a friend of mine is coming along on his bike, not a Nomad...I hope he will feel welcome...He does not like to talk about it but is slowly losing his eyesight but can still ride for now......he can no longer ride a big bike for various health reasons and will be coming up on his 450 lb 650 CC kawa sport bike which he is able to handle with various modifications.....It is sorta a "bucket list" type activity for him I imagine..

..He has been riding for over 40 years and has had a couple of dozen bikes....
I sent a PM to Coach adn phone another "regular" on these boards to see if it would be ok, and have not heard back yet, so am posting this as a "heads-up".....

My buddy's name is Dave Burgess....Anyone who wants to talk electro/mechanical speak, will find him a fountain of knowledge..even built his own airplane..He lives in suburban Charlotte, NC.

We will be likely be arrving at the Day's Inn sometime on Wed and stay until Friday morning..
