Hello Everyone: I found this sight today and it looks pretty good! Im all for sharing ideas and info about all bikes in general, and especially Nomads. I will tell you a bit about myself , Ive ridden bikes for about 38 years, live in Ontario Canada, and started on a 1961 125 Lambretta scooter, and had about a dozen bikes over the years. My current ride is a 2002 Nomad which I enjoy more each time I get on it. Most of my other bikes where sportbikes , this was my first Cruiser, but certainally not my last. I ride it every chance I can and as long as possible into the season. Last year I rode from March to Jan 10 before the roads got heavily salted. Ive put on over 7000 miles so far this summer and still running strong.

Welcome aboard ringading. Do you get much riding all year in Ontario? As you have found out, it is easy to put mileage on the Nomad.

Welcome ringadingh. I was in Kingston OT on my Nomad July 2006. Boy we hit some hard cold rain up there - I was chilled thru and thru. But it was nice after the rain went thru.

I was given the name by the guys at work, I used to ride a GT550 Suzuki. It was a 3 cylinder 2 stroke and went ringading ding ding, and left a trail of blue smoke for a mile. Nobody would ride behind more than once either. You couldnt sneak up on nobody because of the racket that bike made. My neighbours didnt need an alarm clock because I left at 5:45 am everyday. Bottom line is, they all like the Nomad a lot better.
