View Full Version : Air force Blaster to stinkin high!!!!!
Take a look at Harbor Freights part number 93353-3VGA
its 1 hp less power than the Air Force Blaster and only $62.99. Air force is $199.00. I hated to use my compressor to dry the bike, but this thing is great. And it puts out warm air too. Comes with plenty of nook and cranny tools. If you want one make sure to print the price from the web, when you walk in the store they will honor the web price.
This sure cuts down on my detail time. I use it to clean the shop floor before working on the bike.

+1 on the Toro !!
It's usually warm when I'm washing anyway, so I don't feel I need the warm air.

I BOUGHT THE BLASTER AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED. THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT IT I GOT A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO A LOCAL HARLEY SHOP. I DONT KNOW IF I WOULD HAVE SPENT THAT MUCH ON IT BUT I HAVE TRYED CHEAPER VERSIONS AND DIDNT MUCH CARE FOR THEM. ALOT OF $$$$$$$$$$ BUT WELL WORTH IT. BLOWS LIKE CRAZY. AND THE WARM AIR DOES WORK REALLY WELL.

leaf blower here with HOT summer air 100+.
Using a leaf blower to dry your bike is like combing your hair with a rake.
I take mine for a ride and air dry it.

Leaf blower here too, glad to see we can multi task our tools. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Try and help a guy out and see where it gets you. Bunch of bone heads thought the thread said, "How many use a damn leaf blower to blast the paint on yar bike"?

I could almost take that wrong... http://s2.images.proboards.com/angry.gif:(" title=">:(" border="0"/>
Here is a thought - instead of spending $199 or even $62, we offered a cheaper alternative (the point of your post if it had been "too" instead of the mis-spelled "to") - that works fine - apparently since the majority use the d**n leaf blowers

Oh-oh, I did have a small paint chip appear in the front fender after I used the leaf blower to dry it last time. Didn't put the two together but now as me thinking. Anybody else? I used it for years on another Kawa bike with no problem but was about the first time on the Nomad.

I think the point was made that since many of us already own leaf blowers, we use those to dry our bikes rather than a specialized item like a bike dryer. Now if you could blow leaves with that....

Are you calling me a bone head...................................because if yar I didn't get it. I'm such a bonehead. Actually what you posted sound s like a nice alternative. I think people were just throwing out another option. Doesn't make your suggestion and heads up any less valuable. Chill. http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif

We're not boneheads, we're hijackers. ;) Threads get hijacked all the time around here. No problem. At any time anyone can bring them back to the subject. It's no big deal. http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif

So how about them vols this year................................:)
Bought one of those Cycle Dryers from ebay $40 (same they sell in JC Whit). Doesn't heat the air, works ok.
Have the Air Force Jr. at work (they paid for it $99) states warms the air to 10 degrees above ambient. Works better than the one I bought, but I'm not gonna spend $99 to dry my bike.

wash her down and dry her with a towel sometimes I think my wife gets a little jealous lol, it does take a while but she looks great when I'm done, thought about the blower and have one. just don't use it, too each their own.
ride safe.
Any blower will heat the air a little, work done on air = heat, plus the blower motor heat is passed to the airstream as well.
