I apologize for not introducing myself before I started posting on this site. I should have taken the time to introduce myself first.
But let me say my hats off to the KawaNow gang here. Excellent site, professional looking and very well put together. Great job.
It also looks like this site has some awesome members.

I own a 2002 Nomad ( beige on beige ) and really enjoy the bike. Smooth power, great handling and comfortable. I started riding when I was 8 yrs old and owned a lot of bikes since then and the Nomad is surely the best of the lot.

While all my buddies were buying Harley cruisers I seemed to gravitate to the Nomad. I loved the looks and the feel and fell in love with the price tag. :)

My wife rides a 1500 Vulcan classic and loves her ride as well so we are a Kaw family. ( I loved the price tag on her bike as well ).

We spend 10 months a year in Hudson, FL and then the summers at our home in Bristol, TN. trailering the bikes back and forth.

I just started a new round of chemo so have had to park the bike for a couple weeks till the chemo flu passes. So instead of letting it sit under a cover I put the bike on the jack and tore into it doing some much needed maintenance. It's been a lot of fun and being up close and personal with the bike has taught me more about the Nomad. I really like this DIY thing. :)

Just wanted to pop on here and introduce myself. Best wishes to all of you. Ride safe and ride often,

Chris

No sweat Mojo, you are welcome here.

For you and other Newbies go back into your profile and see if there are boxes checked that prevent people from seeing where you are from, email address etc. No body here wants to force anyone to show that info it's just that many do not know the option exists.

mojo,

Welcome to the board. I know you will enjoy it here.

We will keep you in our prayers. A good friend of ours thought she had licked her cancer the first time, but it returned. She just started her chemo again and says it is rough. We wish you the best.

Welcome MOJO from Texas, I'm on a Classic 1600 but live close to Trip and lets me hang around. I'm a three time surviver, Bone in "84, Colon in '98 and Lung in 2001. This thing can be beat. Keep the faith. You are in my prayers.

Welcome, Chris. It's about time you drug your old arse over here http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif.
Let me tell you folks about Mojo ( Chris ). We are friends from the Honda Shadow.net ( HSN ) website. He is a real top quality guy. Don't let that chemo stuff fool ya, this guy's a true fighter. He never gives up, he's a terrific friend, and he is willing to lend a helping hand despite not feeling well many times. He is a wealth of motorcycle knowledge, and he uses this as a sense of reason when some folks get a little " testy" in discussion groups. I am proud to call him friend, and I know all of you will feel the same as you get to know Chris. Welcome, brother.
P.S. Chris, you owe me big time for this testimonial ;). I'll waive the usual monetary fee in exchange for an entire weekend at Hooters http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and support.

The one thing that I really enjoy about biking is being able to meet other bikers. They say you meet the nicest people on a Honda, but I must say some of the greatest ride Nomad's. :)

Thanks again for all the well wishes and the howdies.

Frank:

A weekend at Hooters I can do. Get your old butt over here and we will get er dun. Thanks for the kind words from you. Your a great friend and one I am proud to have in my corner.

Chris
