Irons In the Fire - 1700 Nomad Luggage Rack

I just think this rack is so cool. Finally got the bike outside to take a few snaps. It is built like a tank and fits the curves of the bike perfectly.

Looks great! I bought the same one last Sept. and just realized I never took a picture of it.

How did yours fit? I had to use washers for spacers as the spacers supplied were too large.

My spacers were a bit too thick as well but I didnt have access to a grinder and no washers so I very carefully with alot of colorfull adjectives got them in there. I would grind the spacers down to fit next time or find an alternative spacer because it was a very tight fit and probably is was a bit foolish of me to force them in there but I really wanted it on lol. I talked to Roger about it a bit and he has other customer bikes same as ours where the spacers fit perfect so there must be a fair bit of Kawa manufacture leeway in assembly of the bikes. . All I needed was about a 32nd thinner and they would be perfect.

I also bought one of the Irons in The Fire racks, but had a third rail added when he built mine"at an extra charge". The rack and hardware supplied fit my Nomad perfectly. This rack is "built" and the chrome is the best I've seen. I would recomend this rack to anyone. Just my 2 cents worth---------Murf

Looks good! I just put the Cobra tube rack on mine. It was kinda spendy but it fit good and looks good. Now I need to find a good bag to put on it.
