Has anyone found a saddlebag liner for the 1700 other than the $50.00+ one from Kawasaki. I haven't found any yet.

I have the Kawasaki liners. They are of good quality and fit the hard bags well. Although they could be a bit taller so they use more of the upper hard bag space.

Thanks Doug. Maybe I will go with one. I just am balking about the price when I see so many so much cheaper and know that it is only a matter of time till othercompanies get some on the market

Do any of you know if the bags that fit an older Nomad like an '06, fit the new 1700's saddlebags?

I don't think the 1700 style bags would work well in the 1600's side opening bags. They're a different size and shape.

Greg, I was thinking the other way around. The Nomad bags fitting the Voyager.
Can you buy bags for the new Voyager? That's what I was looking for.

The bags that fit the 1700 Nomad should fit the Voyager saddle bags. I believe they are one and the same. They're different for the Vaquero, though. It's just that the pre-2009 bag liners won't fit the 1700's saddlebags.

the bags for a 06 would more than likely fit in the 09 and 10 they would drop right in but the ones on the 4th answer to this thread would not fit in the 06 they are for the 09 10

I had a pair of cheaper aftermarket liners and they sucked. They were too narrow and didn't fit well at all.

I now have the Kawa liners and yes they are more money but overall only about $35 and well worth the difference to me.

Bogie, thanks if it's me you're talk'in to. Greg and you have nice rides. I'm starting to change my mind about the "new Look" of the Vulcan Nomad and Voyager. I have noticed they went back to the old Nomad bags on the Vaquero though. A rep at the bike show said they're not done with that issue yet and may even go back to more of the old look. Time will tell.

I have the 2010 Voyager and we are using the bag liners we bought for our 2008 Nomad. They work well.

peterdarby:

I went to Target and picked up some small duffel bags for 14.99 each. They are a little larger than the saddlebag insides, but they work great because you can fill them tall and narrow to take advantage of the lid area of the saddlebags.

Thanks, I may try that $15 sounds a lot better than $52.

Yes The old style 1500 bags will fit in my 2009 Nomad. They fit better if you turn them around[Backwords] , and even better if you turn them upsidedown. My aftermarket bags fit my "99" 1500 perfectley and work very well in my 2009 Nomad----------Murf
