Attendance at the July Rally

We need this information so we can plan the meal and the group rides. Greg Wilson will be in charge of the rides and he has done a bang up job mapping it all out and I appreciate all his help. If anyone would like to be ride captains, let greg know. The poll will close May 8, 2010.

Can't make it this year. Baby due in May and momma will be on maternity leave. She would not be happy with me taking off while she isn't working and leaving her with 3 kids.

You know... our rally attendance numbers are growing each week.

When checking other region's attendance... we are "in the running" for second-place for attendance (second to South Central Region -- where Trip and a lot of members are located).

Looks like there are around 13 bikes and 21 people; which is pretty good considering the South Central Region has about the same amount.

We'll have to start running a thread where everyone that is showing can report-in so Dave, Rayski, and I can prepare for everyone showing.

At this point it looks like I'm attending by myself +1. I have an HD friend that is coming up with me so he can make some noise for the whole group. Depending which bike he brings as to how loud he is. I've asked him to bring the one with mufflers. We'll volunteer be the tail gunners so it shouldn't be too bad. SO, my count is still 2. I go through GFs too fast to include them. The 3rd room was for Chuckster and he has already posted his count.

Planning to make the rally but didn't get on the poll before it closed. I have a 30th HS class reunion over in Dodgeville on the 10th though. Should be an interesting weekend!

So far it looks like we'll have a decent size group coming.

If I am not wrong... so far we have as many attending as the South Central Region, and they usually have good turn-outs to their rides.

Since you were from Wisconsin (and not far from that area), I think you might agree that anyone coming will enjoy riding the roads up in that area. ;)

It is difficult to tell for certain because some didn't post... but my best estimate is around 15 bikes and 25 people so far...

Yes, there are definitely some nice rides along the Mississippi and Wisconsin River valleys. This is all rural and farm area with many small towns. Looking forward to my first 'mad rally.

I see the poll has closed . I was thinking about attending with my wife. Am I too late? We are planning on riding from IL to Beaver Dam Wi for a World of Outlaws Sprint car race on Saturday night and would like to attend the rally Friday and Sunday.

This will be our first rally. So we just show up with the waivers and emergency contact info and meet up at the hotel?

Check out all of the information we have provided thus far about the rally. i.e., base hotel; routes; suggested packing-list; suggested group-riding safety & etiquette -- just to name a few things.

The rally days are officially starting on that Friday and runs through Sunday; with departures on that following Monday.

Since the first group-ride starts fairly early on Friday morning, it would be suggested to arrive to the area on Thursday sometime.

I will not be getting there until a bit later on Thursday afternoon due to work obligations for part of Thursday morning.

I would suggest you drop-by the base hotel and look-up Dave, Ray, and myself Thursday evening; as we will likely be sitting around with a group of other KawaNOW members -- just shooting the... well, you know.

As we get closer Dave, Ray, and I will post some more details on a few remaining "loose-ends", like pre-ride meeting times; ride times; and etc.

If you would have any questions particular to something more specific; you could always send me a PM. By doing so, I will be certain to get the message and can respond to your questions.

In the meantime; keep checking back, especially as we get closer, and ride as often and as safely as you can until then.

Regarding the hotel... well... this is a "mom-and-pop" operation rather than a national chain. Most everyone had the same experience when making their reservations. I plan on double-checking before going... just to make sure.

I am staying from Thursday through Sunday night and will be leaving on Monday so I get the full 3-days of riding.

Hey stretch we are coming from Indy thru Illinois. I dont know what day you are planning to leave. We will be leaving Columbus, IN on Wednesday morn riding thru Peoria & may stop in Rockford but that can be altered. You know Illinois better than I do so if you want to meet some place let me know.
