Here are a few rides to think about for the rally. I mapped them on google maps. The mileage and times are google est. plus stops. Some have scenic stops and others are scenic rides. The ride #'s are just for reference.

Since I don't know the area I can only go by the street level views from Google.

From top to bottom I like 1, 2 & 5. I like them because it doesn't appear to ride the same roads as the previous routes, each ride would be new scenery.

I posted 2 WVa rides knowing that we wouldn't do both. And #4 was kind of a shorter ride.
Also, if you are looking at the google map, click on the satellite option for a different view

As Mike stated, there are two WVA rides, he listed both just so you can see different options. We'll only be taking one of them.
We are relying on Mike and Stan's (who lives in Staunton) knowledge of the area and let them make the final selection.

Ride #4 will not be included unless majority just want a short half day ride.

Number 5, Blue Ridge Pkwy, is a no-brainer and will be included......along with #2 to Monticello.
On the trip to Monticello, we are going to call ahead, in route, with an approx arrival time so our group will have a personal guided tour.
If you have never been to Thomas Jefferson's residence, you will really enjoy this bit of history. Its really quite a place.

All of the rides will allow for plenty of stops at overlooks, etc.

Thank you to Mike and Stan for their putting these together. I think what we will do from here is make a choice between the two WV rides and go from there. The short trip, if anyone wants to do it, can be done individually or in a small group of those that would like a shorter day's journey.
