Thanks for the info, when i test drove my 1700 i noticed a fair amount of heat up thru the windshield area would this kit help this problem, i have mentioned this to my dealer and he figures it is only for USA models only, go figure. I get my bike march 01/ 10, but we will likely have snow still so wait wait wait. ::)

I don't know if this only applies to U.S. models, but I rather doubt it. You might want to call the following (copied from a Kawi site): "Our Consumer Services Department is also available at (949) 460-5688. Our hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 Pacific Time." It's my understanding that Ma Kaw is trying to get away from making separate units for different states (Cal.) and provinces, so it would be my guess that this "fix" would be available to you too. By the way, I rode though parts of Alberta last summer..... n-i-c-e!!! The picture of my ride is on Alt. 1 just outside of Banff.

Thanks for that i willl look into this deeper ,my wife and i are riding to Vancouver Island B.C in Aug. Hope the weather was good , is your nomad an 09 and have you added the heat sheild kit,thanks Dave

Yes it is an '09 Nomad. It's in the shop right now for the install. The heat kit is at the shop (I work there part time) waiting to be installed. It will probably be a while before I can say how well it works.... quite a bit of snow (and cold) around here. I envy you the ride to B.C.!.... enjoy!
