The wife and I were out tonight at a local pub and saw a solo Triumph Rocket III. OH MY GOSH! That was one awesome bike. It was a '06 with a special factory ghost flame paint scheme in dark red. I think if I where to ever have a second bike, never gonna get rid of the Nomad mind you, it would be the Rocket III.

I'll never get rid of the Nomad either, but in a perfect world I would have a warehouse for all of the bikes I would like to own and ride.

My first second bike would be a mean grean Nomad, then the Rocket. I have Nomad envy of you audiogooroo.

OH, and there's nothing wrong with that
If I had another bike, It would be another Kawasaki. I'd like to have a ZX-14 for those few days I like to go just a little faster. Then maybe a Rocket.

My second bike would be a Suzi M109.
The Rockets must be free. I went to the Triumph website to see what these things look like and what they cost. Nice looking bikes. Rocket III Touring compares to the Nomad with hardbags and winshield. Three cylinder engine with 106 hp, shaft drive, water cooled. Should smooth on the road with loads of power. Just can't see a price listed anywhere. Must be afraid to post it.

Just mounted a new trunk yesterday. Venture trunk painted Green/Green to match. Guess I need to shoot some updated pics and post them. I'm not sure if I like the look. I have the larger Venture trunk (need it to house my aux gas tank) and it seems a bit too large. If I can ever be off of work on a day it isn't snowing I'll get some pics and post them. I'd be interested in what you all think of the look.
Looking forward to seeing what she looks like Aud.

I hope to find a Venture trunk also, audio. I have a couple kids in the auto body program that are going to do the painting for me, so it will match.

Cool!
I think the lines on the Venture trunk look great on a Nomad, but I have a newer model and its larger than the 80s series ones.
Maybe I just need to get used to it. Looks good from the side, but it's kinda wide. Makes it look like Baby got back!

http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif Yep that is an aw some bike. We had two of them with turbo's at the shop where I work, one was the owner's and I got to take it out for a ride. All I can say is it handles like a middleweight, and "ROCKET" is appropriate for how it goes. It waxed anything we put against it.(not me drivin) I turned it on doin 40 in 3rd gear and damm near lost it. The new tour bike w/hard bags is completely new. Engine, frame, ergos a whole new pkg. The stock engine will lose any cruiser out there, and it really will surprise you at how well it handles. I haven't ridden the new touring model yet, but the 07 couldn't measure up to the Nomad ride. But then, what does? The Venture has a great ride, but handles like a tank. I'd like a Rocket for a second bike to have fun with, but probably get in over my head. I still think like a kid, but time has definitely slowed my ability to get tooooo Happy http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif.
