I'll definitely try to make this. As long as the temp is UNDER 80 degrees. LOL I've never had a tiger burger like but i'll give one a try.

We are going to have a "Pelican Ride" down here...as long as the temps are about 70, much lower than that I will have to winterize my bike.

I may actually do a Trifecta ride...up to Stockton, AL on Dec 30, back to Brooksville, FL on NYE and NYD go to Sebastian Inlet. If anyone is up for any of these give me a shout.

Goose, I wish I hadn't planned these other rides or I'd be up there in a heart beat. Maybe some time before that I may venture up for a cool ride.

Tiger burger is only available in Tiger, GA....which I'm sure you have heard of. Great burger, ask Goose.
Big town...no traffic lights and only one stop sign, which most slow down and run.
Come up Mike....and bring Coach and I'll see you get one. :)

Y'all need to get out of all that sunshine anyway. Makes your arteries hard::)

+1 Dick on the TigerBurger, best burger in town! And the best riding around! We have been
talking about this one going down to NGa area, only thing is the RockSlide and getting over
that way? With Hwy64 being close it'll add an additional 75miles to the ride! But what the
heck I don't care. Dick last year on the ride it was in the 30's when we left out in the morning
but by the time we had got on the Skyway it was in the 50's, so you may have to put those
fur pantys on to keep warm!(haha)

I'm 'bout 80% in Goose. The temp. has no bearing on me. :) I do have a lunatic family that tends to get even more loony around this time of year. If I'm fortunate enough to survive "The 46th Annual Tripp's Dysfunctional Family Christmas", and the dagger woulds have healed in my back I'll be there! http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif Put me down for a Tiger Burger too. I hope that ain't TMI. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Fur panties? Don't need no stinkin' furry panties!!

Not too sure about the "Mike the Deerslayer" though...... ;)

Hey Mike, you need one of those WOLO horns.
Haven't tried it on a deer crossing the road yet, but it sure scared the H___ out of a goat!!

MY PANTIES DON'T HAVE FUR! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif WOLO horns won't save you. Take it from me and two other guys I know,,,,, you don't see the deer that gets you. http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif It happens quicker than you can bat an eye. I blinked and missed the whole dern thing! You have to take it like a man until your sliding down the asphalt screaming like a school girl watching your pride, and joy and labor of love cartwheeling down the highway. :)

Anyone interested in this we are planning another Polar Bear Ride
this year. Ride will be Jan1,2010 with a min of 100mile distance.
Not sure of the ride route yet? Will have something posted soon
though. Last years ride over the Skyway and The Dragon was a
blast hardly anyone was out (imagine that!). If anyone is interested
please let me know as I will need to turn in the order
for the patches for this soon! http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif
http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gifOK, Here's the ride route, last years riders wants to do the original route which is: From CherohalaMkt. in TellicoPlains, across CherohalaSkyway over into RobinsvilleN.C. for lunch, from there over through TheDragon, from there were coming back S.Hwy411 to VonoreT.N. to Hwy360 and back to TellicoPlains to the CherohalaMkt. where the ride will end.
Which I had mentioned earlier the ride was a blast! If I'm going to even ride the TheDragon this is the best time I've ever had, hardly anyone is there this time of the year.
The ride will pull out from the CherohalaMkt at 10am and returning there 4pm? (Depending how many stops we make)
For the ones who would want to ride up there with the Cleveland Riders we are meeting at Hardees on Kieth St. beside TheTractorSupplyCo. and pulling out no later than 9am.
http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gifAnd Yes DKDixie, I will have my fur pantys on! :)

I need to see what the family plans are. I really don't want to spend New Years Eve in a motel. Most likely They'll tag along and we'll do something close to the market. I'll search the net and see whats going on.

Its 35 degrees here as I type this.
S/B in the 40's when I get on the road.

Kinda feel bad for all the Flatlanders riding today with temps in the 70's-80's.

Man I'm gonna have to get out and do some riding this weekend
haven't been riding since we rode over to Lynchburg about 6
weeks ago. Caught a Cold and it turned into Bronchitis, been
trying to stay inside and get over it now every time I get out I'm
freezing. Last few years I've been riding the bike to work everyday
(unless it's raining) and not any did the weather bother

2009&2010 Rockers, so we will be ordering the Rockers for those who did this last year
and for the Newbies will can also get the PolarBearPatch. Depending on how many we
order the price for the Rockers should be less than $2 and the Patch I think is less than
$5, anyway here is the website if you want order your own? [ http://www.piperspatches.biz/PolarBearRide.html ]

Weeeellllllll I wouldn't say insecure, but golly this week Tiger has showed me just how far behind the Macho Man curve I am.

Next week, photos are suppose to come out and I'm afraid I'm going to find out he's got a bigger putter than I have. :-[

I'm feeling a little vulnerable right now. I was hoping for a Polar Bear killin' something ride patch to boost my image. http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif But, it is what it is. A candy-ass Coca Cola Polar bear riding a circus motorcycle. Reckon we can call the patch people and get them to put a tutu on the bear and make it complete ??? http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

:'( I think I'll go throw myself on the bed and cry, and then light some candles and soak in a bubble bath. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

This was all an attempt at satire. I love bears. I wish I wuz a bear. All they do is hunt, and fish and make baby bears.

Mike you're too much! You REALLY need to get out and go riding

Kawhead

I can't come up with an air tight case to argue your point Goose. I've awready dun spent all my vacation time this year. So, sometime in January I'll take a therapeutic ride to Florida and catch up with Tiger and find out how he relieves stress from being couped up. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

You maybe can't tell it now, but when you use to look at his face you never saw nair sign of stress at all. :) I might just stay down there in Florida where (his) that kinda behavior is condoned.

DK it might be to late this year but next year, but next year I might get in touch wiff the folks that build them patches and instead of a polar bear with a sinister look riding around killing things, I'm gonna suggest a feller with a dumb founded, shocked, and surprised expression http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif, busting his can on a patch of black ice as he watches his bike go pin-wheeling and cart-wheeling down the highway. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif At night that makes a lot of sparks and looks groovy. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Fellers......I have been advised, by the missus....that we will be hosting a New Year's chindig at the house on New Years Eve.....that means a bunch of beer/food/beer/food/alcohol/food untill the wee hours of the morning.........which makes the chances of me making it to western NC on New Years Day pretty near ZERO. So, ya'll stop by the house if you get a chance...I'll be the big drunk guy doing a low-country boil and drinking the most beer. You guys be careful and have a blast.

Supposedly one of the other riders has a connection up in TellicoPlains that is going to keep us up to date on the conditions of the Skyway, if the road is too bad or closed we're gonna ride a different route. As long as it isn't Raining or Snowing (although I do have a All Season Radial Car Tire on the back) I still won't chance it http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif.(hehe) Oh, Dick did you ever get your rear tire changed, and what did you put back on it? don't know if this counts - yesterday was nothing but rain. So, I did my annual ride today. 108 miles, 42 degrees when I left. Just got back, now 47. Yeah I know, balmy by NC standards, but pretty chilly for us southern boys...

Didn't see any snow, penguins or polar bears but bunch of Sandhill cranes were out this morning - no bikers until now though. No I wasn't on a wing with electrics either.

Oh we did ride The Dragon & eat in Robinsville NC, but after seeing how nice the weather turned out instead of riding back home through The Dragon, we hit The Skyway on the way back!!!

I'm not hibernating. Going to be up in Townsend riding around next weekend (Friday-Sun). Plan on hitting the Dragon, 360, Skyway, etc on the way up there. Doing a toys for tots run out of Chattanooga on the 24th.

I am interested in this ride if it doesn't conflict with a ride I already have planned (NYD is already taken for me as my club rides this day).
