I ride to work at least twice a week. I did today. I have my own underground and locked assigned parking spot so its safe.
It's a nice feeling when I get off work and ride home.

I ride mine to work all the time..... and just to annoy everyone - in Australia it's still winter and the daytime temps are about 28 centigrade so we don't have to stop for winter...... we ride for 12 months a year..... yea

I'm live in New Hampshire and start my riding season around the first of March and ride until December 1st or so. I ride to work everyday, regardless of weather. I total about 12 to 14k a year.
My Nomad is my transportation... I have 2 bikes and a Motorhome.... so bike wins 99.9% of the time!

I ride almost every day, even when it's over 100 and the wife is telling me to take the car.
Every day, 70 miles round trip Denton to Dallas. I got my Nad on June 16, 07. I intended to ride only occasionally to work if traffic conditions were mild and there was no chance of adverse weather. Boy was I naive. In two months I have managed to accrue 4400 miles.

I always ride my bike to work unless when I open the garage and rain is falling. The heat index was about 115 today.

I ride my nad everyday unless a downpour and lately in Austin, TX the heat as been up there but still sweat on down the road at 100+ actual temp.
Doc
Bluetongue, as much as it pains me to rub it in, the weather this week in Philly/Joisey has been spectacular. I can almost understand why folks would want to put up with the months of frozen wasteland-ness. I heard the weather for home was hotter'n Hades, your post verifies that. Sister-in-Law said it will be back to rain and storm on Thursday evening for our return? Ugh.
Hot and a little humid out here...... cruised out Ole Hwy 80 to Acorn Casino... about 150 mile round trip this afternoon... nice ride! :)

My commute is 57 miles each way and I try to ride at least 4 days a week from March through November, weather permitting.

I ride when I don't have to schlep stuff back and forth to work. Saddlebags only carry so much..... It's been so hot and muggy here that my hair is usually wringing wet when I take off my dewrag - not a good look for the office!! LOL...... My riding definitely goes up as the thermometer goes down!
Same for me vv. I teach, so I can't have helmet hair but so much for the day. I keep it pretty short so it doesn't conform to the helmet too bad except on these very hot and humid days. The kids love it!

That's the benefit of being bald, no helmet hair! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I ride always if the chance if rain is less that 60%
If the temp is over 90 I have a "micro cool vest"
If it below 40 I plug in my widder heated vest and gloves!

Should have banished all four of them to Oz and hope a house fell on them.
Got back to the Lone Star State last night touching down at Hobby at 2330 last night. Seeing as how I hadn't ridden in a week, and it wasn't raining when it was time to come to work tonight, of course I rode. I made sure that my rain suit was packed in the bag where it belongs juuuuust in case it is wet in the morning at time to go home.

You're a good man lw!
I ride everyday, all year long as long as it's safe or not raining when I start out in the morning. I have to appear in court now and then, at the DA's office all the time and in other public areas and have to look a little better than sopping wet. In East TN, temps vary from 0- to 100 + but I ride regardless of temps. Only Ice and snow, black ice or rain will keep me off the bike.
Ride safe,
Dano

I ride to work most days, but prefer to be a fair weather rider. It's been raining a lot lately in Huntsville and Conroe, so I've missed a few days. I visit mills in Silsbee, Jasper and Carthage, TX and sometimes ride to make my visits. It's a makes for a nice trip from Huntsville to one of the mills and back, especially if you take the back roads.

Wow Dano, she's definitely an attention getter. The only way someone could miss seeing you now is driving with their head shoulder-deep between the cheeks of their. . . . backside.
