11-04-2009, 05:14 PM
My buddy has a HD RoadKing and has these. They seem to come in handy during our trip. Anyone know if anything like these are made for our Nomads?? I cant find anything on the web and I even called a local Kawa dealer and they came up empty handed.

Thanks in advance!

I couldn't find them, either. I know they used to sell them.

My buddy has some on his Road Glide, each one has a pocket and a small insulated bottle. I've been looking for something similar for the Nomad for a couple of years.

D&H does custom work. I am sure if you give them a call they can make whatever you want. They are members of this site and very easy to work with.

Scott,
You're right they did have them. I saw them there in the last week. They must have updated their web page.

I can vouch for the dresser bar chaps and engine guard chaps from Sagebrush in Calgary. Excellent quality and fit. Keeps my wife's feet off the saddlebags too http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

This is what I've been looking for, or finding someone who can build me a set for my Nomad.

This is similar to what my buddy has on his Road Glide.

D&H? I apologize but I am not sure who that is. Do you have any contact info?

Thanks!

Sorry I think I may have confused some of you...Im looking for the chaps that go over the saddlebag guards. Just like the ones that go over our engine guards and they have a pocket.

Just like these made for HD's

I make the saddlebag guard covers and do not wrap them around the bars but rather have tabs with snaps. The first pair I made were wrap around and the bar sits so close to the saddlebag that I now have 2 rub marks on the front of my bags. Mine are made out of 8 ounce Bridle leather, which is real leather not faux, or synthetic leather which are other words for vinyl.

I have a picture for you. These were made for customer that hasn't bothered to contact me after I let him know I had the covers done.

revolver***the dresser bar chaps are lower down on the page as barrynfla stated. I have not seen any for the Nomad that also have pockets. Will look around a little and see what there is available. As you can see, there are a few options presented by other members. Since I usually ride 2up, I have no need for a pocket/pouch or water bottle as they would get in the way of my passenger. I really like what CycleCat has done. http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif Deserves a +1

Unfortunately, Heritage Saddlebags has apparently shut down. Their website says "Check back in 2010". Yeah, right.

It doesn't say on the website what they fit, unless I'm missing something. The pictures are of a Harley, so that leads me to believe they are sized to fit HD side guards, which means they won't fit a Nomad.
