We have never posted any thing like this before but as this is our only Grandson we had to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated even if it is just to pass this along to some one you know.
Thank you very much and may God bless you Jim & Bea

This is a letter from our son:

Dear Friends,
Our son Daniel is 10 yrs. old and has a highly rare form of epilepsy called Dravet's Syndrome. There are only 500 documented cases of
Dravets in the US. This means that Daniel will need a lifetime of care and he will always have seizures. Daniel has been having seizures since he was 2 1/2 months old. It 's VITAL to know when he is having a seizure, so that life-saving medication can be given in order to stop the seizure. His seizures are often unpredictable and therefore he must be monitored 24 hours a day. Daniel also has severe developmental delays and shows some signs of autism.
4 Paws For Ability, a 50 I c3 non-profit organization, specializes in training Seizure Alert service dogs for children with disabilities. This dog will be able to give us a warning BEFORE A SEIZURE STARTS, therefore allowing us to give Daniel medicine and head off a seizure. The dog will also be trained in tethering (keeping Daniel close in crowded or unsafe situations), tracking abilities so he can locate Daniel if he is lost, and also important, the dog will be a companion to Daniel during the scary times that all children with a chronic illness face.
We have committed to 4 Paws For Ability to fund raise the amount of $15,000 to train this special dog. After the $15000 is raised and a year of training is when we receive the dog. Any donation is helpful, it doesn't matter how small or how large because every penny counts!
Please make checks payable to 4 Paws For Ability and mail to: 4 Paws For Ability, Inc., 253 Dayton Ave., Xenia, Ohio 45385. Please note that the donation is for "Daniel Dillard" on the memo line of your check. You may also go to www.4pawsforability.org (http://www.4pawsforability.org) to make an on line donation in Daniel's honor.
ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

Skeeter, Daniel is 10 now on some of the sites I listed you can see pictures of him. It has been an up hill battle and doesn't seem like it is going to get much easier but my stepson and his wife have put all their trust in God. Thank you for asking and thank everyone for their help and prayers.

When worries become to much, put them in God's hands. He has power to do all. Faith will carry you where you could never go alone.
Our prayers are for Daniel and all his family.

Jim & Bea,

Cheryl and I will pray for Daniel and your family.

We also found it easy to make a paypal contribution for Daniel Dillard on the "4 Paws for Ability" website.

I grew up with a service dog in the house. The dog was a blessing and helped in so many ways.
