I had a 2pc Mustang on my C50T and felt like I had plenty of back support. It seems that on the Nomad the 2pc does not offer as much back support as the C50. What do you guys think, should I just get the 2pc or go with the 3pc?

It's largely a matter of personal preference. All I can tell you is after having a three-piece, I'd never buy another aftermarket seat without a driver backrest.

I would go with the 3 piece...in fact I just did today......If you don't want to use the backrest just take it off....it is there if you want to use it

If you plan on doing long days in the saddle, the 3 piece is worth the money. jmo

And I would never buy another seat by a name other than Russel Day-Long.

+1. Rode over 521 miles each way going and coming back from Antlers only making stops for fuel and one to eat with no complaints from wifey! I could have ridden another couple of hundred miles if I would have had to. Great seats.

I'll never get a seat of any kind without a backrest now. My old C50, I only had the 2 piece and it was OK, but I wished I had the backrest. I got the 3 pc for the nomad and like it a lot.

3pc it is! Thanks for the feedback. Not enough mod money for a Russel, but thanks for the info.

Hey TopDog-
I looked back here- hope it didn't sound like I was knocking your decision to get a Mustang- a lot of guys like 'em. Whatever you get, you NEED a backrest! :)

Topdog, check out the Diamond Seat before you buy. I love mine and several here have it. The three pieces cost me $673.00 and that included shipping. Wife loves it too.

No problem Billz, on a moments thought I bought Revolvers Corbin seat with back rest. I really am just about broke, and the price was right, couldn't touch a 3 pc anywhere for that price. Review to follow if the weather holds out here in Connecticut.

Well I have some bad news for you... you can plan on staying broke, because a different seat is only the beginning. :)

Yes I know, but do to the sale of all my mods off my C50T, had some extra money to spend. Picked up the chrome rad cover, saddle bag liners, chrome wire holders, kury gripes, and handlbar cup holder. My wife is buying me a Stebil Horn for Christmas and I am looking for a windshield bag that will fit behind my tach. Luckly the previous owner went nuts with mod's so I don't have to. At least that's my story for today....

Hi all :)
I just sent away for the Mustang 2 pc -wide touring seat...heard so much about it that I got it.
I am from Canada, & the best price I was able to get was from GM-Cycles...$372.54 (U.S.) Can't wait to open that box! ...

Sorry, I wanted to add ....Cajunrider, would that be a car tire you have on the rear of your bike? ^,^

I wouldn't go with a one piece, as you may want to take off the rear seat for one reason or another. With the two piece seat you can take the back one off and put a luggage rack there. If I were to replace my seat it would definitely include a front rider backrest.
