2 Cheap Mods..No Drilling Required...

Two inexpensive mods that take just minutes to complete. A 12oz water bottle fits nicely between the windshield and handle bar. Since the windshield blocks the wind, it'll stay put even when less than half full.

Also, for those like me visually challenged, the visor clips that are made to hold glasses on your car visor work great to hold reading glasses on your bike. Note the clip and glasses on the cables that run along the handle bar. Great if your shirt doesn't have a pocket and very accessible.

Both mods easy and cheap and road tested on the freeway and all types of riding.

The price is right on the water bottle holder.I modified mine so the bottle sits upright.

maybe with a windshield bag it would stay upright. I like the idea of a bottle holder on the chaps for the rear bag guards unless there is a passenger with. Its right there at your side and a little back

Word of warning on the waterbottle mod... I did that for a while...and the plastic on plastic scratched the inside of the windshield. I'm sure I can buff it out... but I just wanted people to be aware that it's very possible to scratch it.

BD has the same mod..... I noticed he wraps his bottle in one of his diapers .... seems to work well. :)

Thanks for the scratching warning. Haven't seen any evidence yet. This weekend if I have time I'll take my mod to a more difficult level and put the water bottle in a cloth/insulated "water bottle holder." ;)

that's a good idea... thx Nico... I made a mod this weekend to see if it works... I put one of the water bottle holders that most use for bicycles (the gadget page one) and installed in where the USELESS helmet holder was. Since I removed the helmet holder...it was an un-used screw hole. We'll see how it works.

Yes, the lights are great. Actually had to tilt them down they are so bright. Mounted them on the turn signal light bar with brackets. Come on and off just like the headlight.

You're right about the scratching of the lower windshield panel Matt. Mine's already been scratched by cups, bottles etc, but I'm going to prevent further damage by applying a little window tint film to that panel next time I pull the windshield to adjust it. Will probably have that done before the March 1st Palestine trip, because I took a lot of buffeting during today's 340 miles with Von to meet GH & Coon in Lufkin. God it was a gorgeous day to ride!!

The sunglass clip works great. I've been using them for years clipped to my windshield bag. They've never dropped a pair yet.
