Anyone know of putting a Fiberglass Fairing on a 2000 Kaw 1500 Nomad- want to be able to paint it to match (maroon & silver), also wanting a touring pack with passenger backrest.

Might want to try www.premeux.com. (http://www.premeux.com.)
I know they have fairings and tour packs. Company started because owner André Prévost made the decision to develop a Touring Kit for the Kawasaki Nomad.

Sight says "Since that time, our products have only been improved and are now available in all of the Nomad colors from 1999 to 2006. We also make Tour Pack case for all the Nomad with all the original colors, and the Lowers legs fairing for the nomads. "

I have a harley fairing on mine. this is where i got the bracket to make it work http://vulcanbrackets.com/. A guy on the delphi forum just got one from a company called wide open. Their price seemed real reasonable & so far he is happy with it.
good luck jeff

I posted a pic of a friend's former Nomad. It has the premeux fairing and a HD tour pak on it. This is the tour pak I have to put on my bike but need to get it painted. Can you see why? I tried to enlarge the pic but Photobucket isn't cooperating. Hope this gives you an idea of what it will look like. This Mad is a 99 model.

I got my brackets from Lee also. He made the brackets for mine without hole so I could make them fit my '05 1600. First one he made for the 1600 and after I drilled the holes I made a hole in a template and sent it back to him so he could pre-drill for everyone else when they bought them. I'm happy with my Sidol brackets and the HD '03 fairing.

I put a Harley fairing on mine; probably the cheapest way to go. go on ebay, and buy the inner and outer fairing for '96-up HD dresser. I made my own brackets, but you can buy them, also. go to Gadgets fixit page; he tells the basics about mounting it on a Nomad.
