View Full Version : Voyager Update
I was getting my Nomad serviced today (new Metzler ME880's and oil change) and had plenty of time to talk to the GM of our local Kawasaki dealership. He told me that the industry is buzzing about a new Voyager based on the VN2000 platform. I told him about the Internet rumors and he confirmed that the dealers have been given little information except for that the Voyager project is ongoing and later this year Kawasaki will be making an announcement about a competitor to the Gold Wing.
2009 should be interesting.

I stopped by the local Yamaha dealer yesterday and saw the Venture for the first time. Nice set up. I hadnt heard the rumors on the Voyager and I was thinking on the way home "I wish they would do that with the voyager". Coincidence? I think not ! ! ! The gods want me to SPEND MONEY ! ! ! ! ! !

So it's going to be a V-twin instead of a 4 cylinder? Look out Harley there's a new kid on the block and he's alot bigger than you.

At the VROC Reunion last September, in Eureka Springs, a Kawa Rep hinted that in 2008 they would be releasing something we were looking for and many were already building for ourselves.
She implied it would be along the lines of a full dresser but wouldn't commit to the platform. She lead us to believe it would be a V-Twin.
It may be a early 2009 release (meaning before the regular dealer's new model year show in September).
We'll see!
