The SouthCentral KawaNOW Group is having a Talimena Ride October 16, 17 & 18, 2009 to be based out of Antlers, Oklahoma.

The ride will be hosted and led by Nightmare. In addition to providing a meal for us, Nightmare has also arranged a special rate at a Hotel in Antlers.

For those of you that might be new to KawaNOW that live close to Oklahoma -or- for any KawaNOW member that is close enough to attend, consider this an invitation to join us for a great 3-day event in October.

For more information, check out the Talimena Update thread at:

Thanks,
Trip

I'd sure like to attend, but it's a little too far for me. Too busy at work and can't take that much time off for awhile.

I'll be leaving Thursday about 2 or 3 pm. What route are you and Darlene taking to get there Mitch? Maybe I can meet up with you guys?

We're taking this route but we are uncertain if we are leaving on Wednesday and spending the night at a friends in Shreveport or leaving early Thursday morning. I'll know for sure in a week or so.

Sounds like a fine time. Glad to hear that Victor is back in the groove. Even though OK is an adjoining state to Colo. (barely, protecting us from Texas) would still be a 12 hour ride for me to make it there one way so will need to pass on this one. Enjoy, to those that can make it.

Not to mention that those of us in Colorado are taking our chances with the weather trying to do a long ride in the middle of October. It could be sunny and in the low 70s, or it could be a blizzard with snow measured in feet. ::)

Audio I thought a blizzard with a few feet of snow was normal riding weather for you folks :)
