I know that this modification has been done by several of the members here. Is there an explanation anywhere of exactly what else will be need besides the filter and back plate and where to plug things when you're done, etc.

I would love to see some pics as well.

Thanks in advance!

Utah, check this thread:

I did a couple different mods using the Chuckster 7" plate.
If you want to use the stock "dog bowl" covers, using two plates is by far the best change I made.

This should answer some of your questions.
If I can help more, let me know.

I have the chuckster plates and use the stock dog bowl. Probably the best way to get what you need is to contact Chuckster, he is great and was available on the phone when I did the install. It as fairly straight forward.

I'm surfing the mobile web so I'm a bit limited today, but can anyone give me a link to the 7 inch k&n filters you are using with the chuckster backplate? I bought my plate last year but got sick and missed a riding season.

Or for something completely different but the same.

I had Joe make a 6 1/2" plate for mine. I use a 6 1/2" spectre filter with a Mr Gasket air cleaner cover.

The Mr G air cleaner came with a filter for less than $20.00.

Try this for the open filter kit.

Joe provides all the fittings and hardware required.

Jared,
Basically once you get the kit from me, everything is included except the labor.. Unless you bring the scooter to me.. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif You will be all set when you open the box. Plates, filter, hardware, and instructions. I have filters for the Dual plate kit and also the filter kits for the Single set-up (open style). Get with me and I can set you up with a complete system of either style.

I started this thread in 2009. I've had two Nomads and two different kits by Joe since than. :)

I see the mod comes with instructions and the whole shabang. I've sent Chuckster a couple of emails lately. I think I will just give him a call tomorrow.
