2009 nomad/voyager license plate mod

For all of you 2009 Nomad and Voyager owners I just completed my license plate mod with the Kuryakyn #9198 curved license plate frame. It took all of 20 minutes and brother did it clean up that license plate area. I removed the slotted stock license plate bracket and the reflector and attached the Kurykayn part. It looks sharp. Funny they came out with one for the 2009 and never have for earlier models that I have seen. I had to buy another brand and drill holes in the fender to get a lay down plate for my 1600, but Im happy with what I got.

I made my own using the stock holes in the fender on my 07.

I like the curved plate holder but my cheap butt required me to use the stock parts for my lay down plate. On my 07 I removed the stock chrome pyramid drilled two holes in the plastic plate holder added a chrome frame with bullets. Really cleaned up the fender. That stock pyramid had only one redeeming value, chrome. It cracked out around the bolt holes. It is now in the scrap pile in the shop.

I bought a chromed out 45 lay down bracket with matching chrome tag holder with allen head bolts that go in backwars for a clean look. :-)
