Some of you might recall that I bought a 8’x14’ shed or “Mini Man Cave” as I like to call it to park my 08 Nomad in. My last bike sat outside with a cover for the 8 years that I had it and I wanted to store the new bike inside. Since I’m married pulling it into the living room every night was not a option so the shed was my next best and affordable option.
So here is a picture of it the way it was upon delivery to refresh your memory

Since then I’ve insulated all the walls and ceiling with R-13 insulation, covered the walls with ¼” OSB board, installed some shelving and built a workbench and had electricity ran out to the shed. My Nomad seems a little happier out there now :)
I’m still in the process of doing some other stuff and just thought I would share the progress with any of you that might be interested, here’s some pics

Very nice, Taz! Your Nomad has a good roof over its head! It's always best to store a bike out of the elements.

Looking good taz! About all it needs now is a mini-fridge for cool refreshment and a small TV maybe?

Taz as soon as you get that tire changer and the full motorcycle lift installed I will have to come see your shop. Maybe we would even need to test it and make sure everything works on a bike that is a different color,,,, say black and titanium maybe?

Nice, but it isn't a man cave without a fridge for the beer. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Great looking place for YOU and your Nomad! ;)
You'll need a bike-lift with wheels so you can easily move the Nomad to the side to make room for the beer-fridge and your lawn-chair. And don't try to put anything else in there... you'll end up filling the place and ruining your "Man Cave". http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
PS: Oh yeah... Be careful of the toxic-mercury in your "Environmentally-Green" lightbulbs. Just thought I would mention the potential for a hazzard. ;) http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Nice little room.. If it were mine there would be a cable in the floor to lock the bike with.
Once you suffer theft you tend to do odd things..
I almost pity a next thief, with my bike in it's enclosed trailer.

thanks everyone for the compliments. There won't be much else going in there for storage purposes, I made sure my wife understood that this is for my bike and motorcycle stuff for the most part. I will be making a bracket to mount the ladder to the rafters to get it out of the way.

I agree with everyone here, a small fridge and a radio and youll keep yourself occupied for hours. ;)

I strongly agree, a fridge and radio will finish it up nicely.

I really need to get the Nad a home too. It currently lives on the 14x26 back yard patio cover. I try to keep it covered with a bike cover also. My buddy keeps his VN2000 in his garage and it just stays cleaner.

Where's the air conditioner? His location says Jacksonville, FL. Hot and wet in my book. Not bad when the bike is moving but a bear to deal with when you are working on the bike. When I brought my bike home, my wife told me to park it in the garage. She keeps her car outside - how nice is that! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
