Today was THE day. The day I'll file away to remember in a few months when the temps are in the single digits and we're hearing about winter storm warnings. The weather here was perfect today. I left with 2 friends at about sunrise. We rode for a while then had a breakfast that would make a cardiologist cringe. More riding, then lunch at a fantastic barbeque joint out in the country. Three tanks of gas disappeared way too soon.

It was a great day in ND as well. High was about 72 with no wind, which is VERY unusual. Got a little over 100 miles on today. These nice days are definitely numbered!

Went 335 miles last Friday. Beautiful weather till the last 100 miles. Then the rain strarted. The last 45 miles were in a downpour in the dark. It still was a great day http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Everyday is an adventure and brings memories for us to look back on this winter.

Heh- I need to get out of this armpit of an area. Barring today, every day for at least the last 8 days it's rained. Hoping to get some nice fall rides in, we'll see what the lakes bring!

It's been above 110 the past several days here. I am anxiously awaiting the prime riding weather...in October!

I'm from Western New York. South of one big lake, east of a second, and north and west of a bunch of small lakes. I figure that no matter what direction the weather comes from, there's a chance of rain!
Also our reputation for bad winters, I guess...

I'm a ways north of Cohocton- but I know right where that little spot on the map is! My spot on the map is even smaller! We pretty much call Buffalo when people ask us where we are. Stick your finger right in the middle of Rochester and Niagara Falls and you'll be just about where I am. Have also lived on Canadaigua lake- that area is so gorgeous I go back there just to ride around.
But yeah, we've been in a rainy spell for about the last 5 years... Keep getting mild winters and crappy summers. Just waitin for the next blizzard so we can have a decent riding season!
