Now the reality is it won't rot very fast even wet, oil won't bother it much at all, and it just might like it compared to leather, and best of all it is a step away from plastics in the liner, like no poly pro..

One day these plastics will turn around and bite us... All they are is waste from dino oils and fuels...

pretty soon we will be forced to use hemp to make oil, so you and everyone else best get used to it.

I smoked far more than my fair share inhailing everytime too, in my day, but i would rather smoke the weed than oil.....

So far as i am concern the weed shoukld be legal and 1,001 things it can be made into should be too, but that would compete with the OIL INDUSTRY, and we just can't have that can we?

Naw... what I think is the oil companies put hemp out of business.

Too much CHEAP things were made of hemp before oil and will be when oil is gone, that is after we burn it all up.

No one knows what real hemp is and what it was GROWN in the USA before anymore.

These days you can buy a for crap bleached hemp to male macramae and string beads on, and you can buy seeds all quite sterile in bird seed, and the birds don't like it either.

I have a metric spool hemp made for boats, and it took a decade to find it.

Chances are if you think you have any out in the garage what you have is sisal or manillia.

In my search I went to Key West in the south to Meat Cove at Cape Bretton NS looking and in all that time what I found was from the May Flower III in Plymouth Mass, and it was about 12 feet long and tarred, plus mostly rotten after weathering years in the rigging.

Like i said I smoke tons litterally of this substance in my day, and would today if I wanted too.

I just don't want to, and that is all stopping me from doing so..

The thing is that it can be made into oil, and many other things and isn't, and for no more reason that it would put oil right out of buisiness.

One day all this hoopla will end and hemp will come right back to do new things no one thought of yet, and many of the old things it did 150 years ago.

My interest lies at 200 years ago, for sailing vessels, where Long strand mammial has a place as well, not the crap maniilia we get now in local hadware stores either.

I have a Royal British Navy roll of that in the Bristish Standard systems too. This is old new stock still in the wrapper and tarred with real Stockholm tar.

If there were sailors here interested in the whys and what fors I would be happy to get in to the topic, but I figure thar's no man jacks in here..

A few things are real hemp is as soft as cotton, rot resitant which cotton isn't, and was used in ALL running rigging. Most of all it doesn't shrink when wet.

Manilla was used in standing rigging, which stands in place day after day year after year, if it gets maintained well. This manilla shrinks wet like mad..

So no sail bolt ropes were made of manillia, and no running rigging was either or sailors would be splintered up so bad thhey couldn't work.

Sisal is hay bailing twine and has no place at sea, and neither does cotton..

With out hemp there would have never been a "New World" in the first place. And with out oil there will be no new world again either..

If we burn it all, things will be very different for most people..

I share bikes and riding with you mostly, and if we talk guns I can play along just fine too, about anyway anyone wants. I mainly shoot flinters, but don't bet I don't have some newer stuff around..
