My wife has the EXO-100 and loves it. She says it is the best fitting helmet she has had! She also likes the feel of the J&M speakers we install occasionally and the pop down smoked shield is nice! Zip out ear pads are cool too! Oh, the price at helmetshop.com rocks too!

I bought two, one for my wife & one for myself. Be forewarned, they run about a size large, if you wear an XL, then a large in the Scorpion will fit. The lining is very soft & plush. My wife loves hers, but I gave mine away because it is not a vented helmet, & I NEED air moving over my sweaty head. We bought ours at Cycle gear for $109 each....-Rich

I bought one about a year and a half ago. The Scorpion EXO-100 is not only a great helmet, but it's a very comfortable helmet. The drop-down tinted shade is a very nice feature.

Thanks doc http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif. I'm waiting for mine to come in. Apparently getting a matte black helmet is next to impossible.

My wife and I both have them and they are nice for all the features stated. I like the idea of being able to drop the built in visor if it starts to rain (which I haven't had to do yet). Yes, they are not vented but I wear a do-rag, which does make it just a little bit snug.

Hey mark...I have one (EXO 100)that I bought less than a year ago...LOVE IT. Best fitting, feeling, riding, helmet I have ever owned. My wife liked it so much we went and out and bought her one also...she likes it too. I would highly recommend it, and did out in Custer to a few that bought them.

I have one (EXO-100). I like it and the flip down face shield is nice for added protection when it rains or when you hit an area with alot of bugs....or if you just want a little more shade than sunglasses give you. $109 at local dealer.

I have one, but don't wear it often anymore. They are comfortable and have great padding, but because of the flip visor built into it, they run quite a bit taller than most half helmets. My wife had a hard time seeing around the thing, switched to a matte black half helemet, forget what brand, but the view is much better now says the wife.

Have one for at least 2 years now, the 100,
love the visor, but still wore a 3/4 HJC when using the CB on my Wing and never could hear transmissions when running at highway speeds. Then, after buying a GPS and a Scala discovered that the location of the ear speakers in the HJC were way above my ears. Put the Scala speakers in the Scorpion pockets, now exactly centered over my ears and voila, I can actually hear the GPS prompts.
Lots of reasons to like it!
Oh yeah, and it tends towards oval head shape.
Signed
Old oval head.

Hey Mark, the wife and I have had them for about a year now. I got it mainly for the flip down visor ( ridin in the rain ). We like them. It seems to fit farther down on my head to my ears and at first my ears would be a little sore from the pressure on my glasses stems/ears. I actually used mine all winter with the neck liner installed.

I heard Lowes was already pulling out Christmas stuff.... Pretty soon, it will just be year around. And to think, we used to laugh at those who left their Christmas lights up - now we know they are just getting a jump start on everyone else!

my wife and i both have one, it's the most comfortable helmet I've worn and the drop down visor is great when you need it like rainy days or when the sun is low in the sky.

.....I like it and the flip down face shield is nice for added protection when it rains .....

I've got a question about that. I usually wear a half helmet in good weather and carry a full-face helmet for when I hit heavy rain but if I crack the shield open on the full-face about 1/4" to let air in, the rain water is forced in too and hits my face and sunglasses, making it hard to see. I wear contacts and the water gets into my eyes if I don't wear sunglasses and I worry about loosing them apart from not being able to see. I looked at the EXO-100 the other day and liked the idea of the flip-down shield and thought this helmet could replace the two I normally have. However, I am concerned that in heavy rain, the water would be forced down the shield and fly up into my glasses/eyes under the shield as with the slightly open full-face. Does this happen with the EXO-100 too? I don't care if I my face is wet but the water in the eyes is not good...

Thanks,

Pete

Pete, I bought my scopion helemt a few months ago, while i was in mahhie valley for the Vulcan Rally this month I got caught in a hard rain while on Top of the Smokie mountains. The pop down visor worked GREAT. I had no problems seeing at all with NO water in the eyes. I highly recomend this helmet

After the dealership had a bit of reading difficulty. The box said "Wine" but the sticker slapped on the box said matte black. Guess which color won and had to be returned? I finally got my matte black helmet. Now we're going to a graphics designer to have it designed with a skeleton/skull graphic that isn't like the stock pics, just to add my personal flavor.

It is a very comfortable lid and I'm looking forward to finding out how it handles.

Oh yeah and tear off that stupid S thing on the front. Unless of course in your individual case it stands for Superman. Or its an advertisement for the material you spread on your front lawn. Or elsewhere.

A wine helmet? That's silly. Now if they had a beer helmet, that would make sense.

I just order one for my wife and one myself today.
I always were a 1/2 helmet but the one I have has been damaged a couple times but I don't have the heart to do away with it, I've had it over 21 years.

After all..
It's painted green... beautiful green!!! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I just bought a DOT approved German style helmet a few weeks back and now I'll have to paint both of them to match my bike, like my old one.
