I watched the Devils Tower video for the first time in over a month and it brought back some good memories.

I'm surprised that the days are already getting shorter, and it's been almost two months since the rally. Summer is going to wind down too soon.

It was a great time in Custer, the highlight of my summer for sure.

Seeing Victors turbo bike made me wonder how he is doing, anyone in contact with him? How about the Canadian on the green 99?

Is two months long enough for anyone else to get rally nostalgia?

Yeah, me too. I wish I could have spent more time there...like all summer! I came home to the hottest July in recorded history. I'd love to go back there sometime.

Or just come here for some amazing mountain riding. Now if I could just cut back on my travel schedule enough to enjoy what I have just outside of my window. http://s2.images.proboards.com/tongue.gif

Custer was truly a highlight. But I'm blessed living in Colorado and having some great riding buddies and have managed several more four day mountain rides around here. If your in the neighborhood be sure to let me know and maybe I can share some advice or better yet let's take a ride.

Your video of the Devil's Tower ride was great, Dan. I'm fine, and my Nomad is mostly fixed now.

How are Victor and Mike doing?

I am remembering more and more of the good stuff that happened now, and the really great people I met in Custer. Hope we can do something similar again next year.

Great to hear that things are going well. Time has a way of knocking the sharp edges off.

It would be good to see you again.

I don't think a full week has gone by YET, since the rally, that I haven't thought of the people, the rides, the bikes, and in general the fun I had getting to the rally, being at the rally, and going home. The last thing not so much though.

Brent,
I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better. I felt real bad about the accident you had and that I just assumed you turned around and went back to Custer, when you didn't show up in Deadwood. You don't know how many times I wished I'd turned around myself and went looking for you. I hope we get to ride together again,....maybe next year? What do you say?

Hi Rick,
I know you felt bad about not turning back, but please don't. There were about 8 fellow Nomad riders there to help me out within minutes, so it all worked out fine. It was good to meet you and everyone else, and I hope to make next year's rally. At the very least, my wife and I have bought a place on Gabriola Island, so I'll be in B.C. lots more sometime in the near future.

I had a great time especially meeting everyone including Dan.
