A reminder for all of you who will be traveling to Sturgis to be extra careful.

And for all of us to keep sharp.

That has to be a terrifying feeling when a truck or car starts to turn when a bike is passing. I hope I never have to feel it myself. It happens too often. Peace to the family.

That is indeed unfortunate. I've passed hundreds of vehicles and that thought has crossed my mind. This is a stark reminder.

Saw on the local news last night that this couple was from Mansfield, Texas which is a few miles south of Ft. Worth. The man and his wife were making an extended tour of the states. He just retired a month ago as the head of the Mansfield school district for 14 years. Sad to say the least.

That is very sad, hope the wife heals as completely as possible.

Very sad. Motorcycle crashes happen quite frequently around here and the worst thing about it is alcohol and speed are usually contributing factors. The governor just signed into law stiffer penalties for drunk driving and also for refusing to take the breathalyzer. Hopefully, that will curb the drinking and riding somewhat.

Saddens me to read of the death of a biker. I certainly hope his wife makes it.

The man was buried today and his wife is now in a Dallas hospital still in critical condition.
