Thought it would interesting to see what other use for footwear when riding. Anybody use the Crusiemaster brand of slip on boots?? Currently using H-D lace up's. Thx

I use the standard brand from leatherup.com. They were inexpensive (cheap) but surprisingly well made. During the workweek, I use dress shoes for riding which does not make my wife happy.

Yeah I ride to work in boots but change in the phone booth to dress shoes. hate to ride in dress shoes. NO traction.

I am currently using RiverRoad Field Boots. Prior to that I used Timberland black laceups...they worked well and were waterproof and non-slip.

Summer riding I wear Vasgue hiking boots. Fall and Winter I wear Durango harness boots.

I use a slip on boot (don't know the brand) kinda like a cowboy boot but low heel and no pointed toe. Very comfy and fits my foot like a glove.......well a lot better than a glove would http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I put my Magnum duty-boots to work for riding. They are an 8" lace-up leather/mesh combo, and the goretex lining is helpful in less than dry conditions.

ICON Super Duty II
Chucka Style boots with a buckle over the laces. They were very stiff when I purchased them and they walked in comfortably after a few weekends of walking and some miles on them. They're nicely made and have protection built in.

I wear boots year round. I have 4 or 5 different pairs but my favorites are Double H. The last I bought are the 12" Work Western Black 3267. I use Doc Bailey's on all my boots. This stuff works great.

I ended up buying a pair of those yesterday. They're the type that look like sneakers. No way I'm playing ball in those though. Imagin if I kicked someone in the shins?

I can identify with that Ponch. I shop by the "what have you got in my size?" method. But then again, you can get kids clothes anywhere, men's clothes are harder to find.

Either my $30 steel toe half-boots from Payless or my $25 RG vented full boot from Big5. Yup, work just as well as the high-dolalr HD boots, et al, and cost $100 less. Doesn't even bother me if they get scuffed up a bit at those prices... :-)

I wear Milwaukee Boots.

http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s31/rlfaubion/MilwaukeeBoots.gif

PRO's: If you like the laced up look, then you'll want zippers on each side for EZ on/off.(has it), oil resistant, and a good solid boot.

CON's: Heavy, not waterproof, and I've caught a lace on my kick stand. Very embarrassing.

Check'm out here: http://www.motoleather.com/milwaukee-clothing-boots.html

But, like Ole Dawg said, and while I haven't worn'm in years, I'd sure like to have a Chippewa around my foot again. Oh, I can't remember how they feel on yer feet exactly now, but when it comes to style -

This is the Class of a Motorcycle Boot.

Here's their site:

However, if you are determined to wear Flip Flops, at least get these to protect yer big toe!

Bates waterproof lightweight tactical boots. About 90 bucks at Academy. they are lightweight, feel like tennis shoes, but give great support. Has a zipper on the inside leg so you don't have to lace them up each time.
