?1600 parts that fit on a 1500

Are there any 1600 parts that are known to fit on the 1500s? Such as the passenger grab rails? Items that would be considered and upgrade. Anything?

Passenger grab rails are standard on the 1600. The 1600 is a different ride. I had an 06 and rode a buddies 03 1500 and liked the way it felt better than the 1600. Sold the 06 and bought the 04. MaKaw changed a lot on the 1600 and most after market stuff isn't interchangable.

I've learned (the hard way) that the "custom fit" rule is a pretty good one to follow when ordering after market on-line. Ofcourse that only applys to things that are pairing up with the alignment of the existing mounting bolts.

there's probably more "stuff" available for the 1500 anyways, so I don't think you're going to "want" for anything off a 1600. Or are you??? ??? But, for peace of mind, you can always contact the folks at Beartooth Kawi and cross-reference whatever it is you're after. VERY helpful people there and good prices, too!

Thanks all. The one item I was most interested in was the passenger grab rail and possibly the key switch, after reading the thread about not needing to keep the key in. I've looked at some of the parts break downs and it looks like it would require a lot of parts to add the grab rail.

I was just wondering if there were parts that people already know about. Not necessarily aftermarket parts, but OEM parts.
