I'm new to the forum and so far enjoy it a lot. I want to change the antifreeze in my 05 Nomad but haven't located the radiator cap or drain plug. Any help appreciated. ;)

The drain plug is on the bottom left side of the radiator. The radiator cap is under the fuel tank on the right side. Yup, you need to remove the tank.

I would suggest that you get a service manual, it will come in very handy.

be sure to flush with distilled water a few times. I used prestone 50-50 from wally world, but Im sure you will be told not to use it and use only motorcycle coolant. I've not had any trouble what so ever after nearly a year. Kinda like putting a CT on your ride, works just fine.

Welcome

Dennis

Be sure to get radiator fluid that is silicate free ! I get mine from the local Honda bike dealer.
It is premixed.

Dennis That's gonna start a fight. I'm keeping what I use a secret. I use motorcycle antifreeze. That's my stony and I'm stickin' to it.

Thanks so much for the information. I'll use the prestone and distilled water. That's what I used in my Kawasaki Concours that I put 115K miles on and never had any problem with the cooling system. Thanks again. Tom
