Finished today my V2K Nomad!

Fitting an original 1500 Nomad screen en Nomad bags was a hell of a job, but the results are there!

IMO a beauty!

Nice job Nomadman. If you need any more inspiration, look at Rolf's v2K Nomad.

He custom made the bags and trailer. The bags are 50% wider than stock nomad bags. I was hoping Kawasaki would use his bike for inspiration for the Voyager and new Nomad, but such was not the case.

Too bad the V2K has had a bad reputation of reliability after 30K. That's one of the reason the sales took a dive 2 years ago. I'd love to have had that kind of muscle going to Custer with the reliability of a 1600! A Nomad on steroids http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Thats the way they should have offered the bike to be available, I love the way it looks, and would run with the added power.

Great work.
Very well done. The VN2000 is what made me start looking at the Kawa line in the first place.I went with the Nomad because of the hard bags.I should have thought about this mod.

That is what custom is all about. When you can't buy what you want, you just have to make it.

Great job!

Went to my dealer today, a lot of customers take a look of my bike.
Nice to get all the comps, one guy ask me how much he must pay to modification his bike.

I told him that the bags are really expensive and that it takes many hours to design and made the brackets and other stuff.

I was lucky!, found two different damaged bags on the net for the cost of $ 150,00 a friend repainted them.

My dealer sent some pics to Kawasaki Europe, hopely the guy's at factory take it serious!

Thank's again, for all your warm comments!

That is one sweet ride, and there is no better feeling than standing back looking at it, and thinking ""I did that"". Enjoy it and ride safe.
