My 1500 classic sat outside in this exact spot for 8 years. Even though I kept it covered, after 8 years it was starting to show some weathering.

So, with the new bike I wanted to do something to give it a little more protection from the elements, from vandalism (although i never had problems before) as well as just to give me somewhere to sit and clean it on a rainy day. Not to mention the Nomad didn't fit as well in the old area and the fact that my wife mentioned a few times that it would be nice to be able to set a couple of chairs on the front porch if my bike wasn't there.
With SPECIAL THANKS to Bears wife Elaine (Delphi forum) who got me a GREAT deal on getting the cement slab formed & poured saving me 50% on the quotes i was getting. The slab was poured about 2 weeks ago and my new shed or "Mini Man cave" as i call it was delivered today. Due to the amount of area I had to work with the maximum size shed I could buy was 8' x 14'. It's a pretty nice shed though, made by a company called "Lark". It has two windows, two light fixtures, two power outlets and I ordered it with a extra wide 60" door so it's a breeze to get the bike in and out.
Granted it's no garage but it's better then where it was. I just have to get power ran to the shed now.

Not a problem . Looks pretty good. With all the junk in my one car, you have more room than I do.

Nice set up Taz. "Mini Man Cave", I like that. My buddy calls his garage "The Man Pit".

Thats a nice shed, now you need a small beer fridge plugged into one of those outlets and youll be all set to clean rain or shine in there.

I am lucky this year to have moved mine inside. My girl said I could use her shed. It.s 12 x 12. I just gotta share it with a snowblower, 2 lawn mowers, mini-bike, lawn tools, old organ, all the pool supplies and 2 bicycles. Other than that, plenty of room. Beats sitting outside though.

Nice, all it needs is a small beer fridge and a flat screen for sports center.

Nice little bike cave! I only have a 1 car garage, so my bike sits in the garage and the cars sit outside. It is definately nice to have a dry, secure place to store the bike.

Good idea, but I agree...you need a little kegerator in there. Build your own....

Nice shed. I have been wanting one for yrs, mainly for junk, not the bike. She gets the garage.

Very cool! It's nice to have a spot to keep the bike completely out of the elements. Enjoy!

thanks for the comments everyone. I do plan on doing a little "Shed Modifications" :) I ordered the 14' length cause that way I can build a bench across that back wall, I figure a 18" deep bench should be good enough. I'll have some music in there, shelves, etc...
as hot as the sumers are here I might even invest in a small cheap window unit for when i want to sit in there and clean the bike.

Nice goin', Taz. Good setup. After you spend some time in there this summer I suspect an A/C unit will not be far in the future!

thought I would give a update on my "mini man cave". So far I have insulated all walls and ceiling with "R-13" insulation, have covered all the walls with 1/4" OSB board and built my work bench across the back wall and run electric to the shed. it is coming along pretty nicely. the insulation made a unbelievable difference as far as how hot the shed gets. Still got some more things to do but so far i'm happy with it. pretty crappy weather here today, probably this weekend i'll take some pics so you can see the improvements.

Nice Tazfl; also nice to find other Kawasaki people to assist.
I have the Nomad, the KX 250 and the GTO in my garage. If I get another bike (still want a KLR650) the KX may go in my shed.
I need 20 acres and a 3000 foot garage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
