I hope this thread isn't a repeat!!!!

Other than chrome, has anybody come up with an idea to dress up the black side covers? I would like to remove the Kawasaki badge and use something else. I was wondering about the "Nomad" chrome script from "Emblemzz"

MT: I think you have a great idea. Any ideas on how to get off the kawa badges first?? I like theose Nomad badges for $30(2). I might do the same too. Thanks

No Doc I have no idea as to the best way to take the badges off the side. I was gonna try a little heat. I believe it's just adhesive on the back.

Thx guys, just heat/peel and clean up the goo. Those Nomad decals would also look good on the front fenders if you didn't want to get rid of the kawa labels.

I've also heard that you can use floss or thread to get under the decal and remove it after heating it up. mtpockets, great idea. Those look really classy!

I ordered those chrome Nomad emblems and got them today. they look REAL sharp. Will put them on the front fender.

I found fishing line to remove the badges to work well.

On stubborn glue I have found guitar strings work great and doesn't break like fishing line, dental floss, etc. Just have to be careful that the surface the string contacts is not damaged. Also works on wall mirrors that have been installed with adhesive instead of a frame.

Thought this thread might deserve a bump for those interested.

I did what Gadget suggested. I had a friend of mine paint half of mine. I took my bike to a paint shop and they have a machine that they put up to the color part of your bike then they hook it up to computer inside and can match your color exactly. After we painted them it now looks like it SHOULD have been on bike to begin with.
