This past weekend wound up presenting KawaNOW recruiting opportunities. First my riding partner (Bob) was wanting to upgrade his bike (he was riding a Suzuki 800). Since we were going on a memorial ride this past Saturday I offered to let him and his wife bike-swap and ride my Nomad after the ride. At the rally area I encountered two other Nomader's who had not heard of KawaNOW. After shooting the breeze with them (kindred spirits with great taste in bikes) I spead the gospel of this site.

At checkpoint four of the ride, Bob learned that a member of his church had a 2006 green/silver Nomad (identical to mine) for sale. After the ride was over we swapped bikes for 10-15 miles. When he dismounted my bike the look on his face was priceless. All he could say was "WOW".

Oh, and the Nomad that was for sale? Bob bought it the next day. I suspect you'll see him here soon.

Next assignment, turn him into a chromaholic! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif Good job, but these bikes don't take a lot of selling do they? http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif

Yeah...wait until he gets the chrome monkey on his back.

I can stop buying bling anytime I want to. Honest. I've quit four times already...

I sold my Suzuki Volusia, 800cc, to move up to the Nomad. The Nomad is a popular bike even on the Volusia forum I belong to.

Yeah, there are a lot of Nomad converts on there.

You should get a commision on the sold Nomad.

Bob learned that a member of his church had a 2006 green/silver Nomad...

The first Nomad I saw on the road was a green/silver one. Gorgeous bike!

It was about three weeks later, I think, that I traded my old C50 for an '08 Nomad.

Unfortunately, green/silver wasn't an option any more and blue/silver couldn't be located, so I took the red/black the dealer still had in the crate.

I downloaded a picture of the red/black and lived with it as my wallpaper on the computer for the weekend and decided the rec/black was really a pretty nice combo after all.

:-)

Haven't seen that green/silver one since, but if anyone here has an '06 green silver Nomad with about 26K miles on it that met me at the gas station in Arcadia, FL, I just wanna say "thanks!"

True but the blue and silver ones are faster.
