View Full Version : An expensive breakfast

This is a longish one, so bear with me please.

Wife and I went off to local upholsterers to change the backrest on the sissy bar for her. As we were close to M&P which is a local bling establishment we decided to get a breakfast at the canteen which is attached to the shop, and which supplies excellent breakfasts, good food and very good prices.

Anyway, we called in and had a great time and left the cafe feeling full and very happy. We were passing the door to the shop, and of course, if you are that close you simply must drop in and see what is new and wonderful don't you?

Well, we were wandering through the displays of boots, gloves helmets and sundries, when we came to the part of the shop where the bikes for sale were on display. I lost my head, and it was love at first sight. There in front of me was a gorgeous blond! Beautiful proportions, very racy looking and almost begging to be used and abused (not something would do normally of course).

I looked my wife, she looked at me, and she said, 'Well if you have to, you go ahead'!

I saw the manager for the section watching and asked if it was ok if I tried her out? 'Yes he said, but she's new here so be gentle'. Got in the saddle and she fitted me like a glove, a real soul-mate if ever there was one.

So, to cut this long story short, we ended up trading in our beloved, and very much under-used, Nomad for a brand new 2009 1700 Voyager, Titanium (well it's almost blond) ABS, K-ACT etc.. One of only 35 to be imported into UK this year.

Will be picking her up, well arent they all female, later this week or early next week.

Most expensive breakfast I've ever had!

What a beautiful bike----that seems like a great price on the tag---is that US bucks?

trevwales
06-03-2009, 12:12 PM
No Caddman, that is GB Pounds. At about 1.65 dollars to the pound, you can work it out ($22,273 ish). If it wasn't for the 15% VAT, and 10% vehicle tax, etc. It would be a good price!

Georgeous bike Trev, you know what you can't take it with you so you might as well appreciate it while you can. Oh yea I forget to tell you "I hate you!"

J/k don't forget to give us the full skinny when and if you ever get of of it.
