I purchased the patch for my vest from Piper's Enterprises at a VROC rally.

is the wompus rack bigger than the scootworks rack.... my scootworks seems small for the tour pak. only covers half the trunk.. the back hold down bolt isn't holdin nothin down!

Wompus makes the Scootworks rack. It should be the same. Can you mount the tour pak closer to your passenger seat or does that make it too tight?

Yes, I make all of Scootworks trunks. (All but the 1500 Nomads.)
I've been told the racks aren't big enough by some, too big by others. Since there are hundreds of different size trunks on the market then there will always be problems mounting them on bikes.
If I'm told what size the trunks are then I can usually add some to the rear of the rack.
Usually, I tell them to go "BORROW" an old stop sign, or even run down to the local hardware store and get a piece of sturdy aluminum and sandwich it between the rack and trunk.
There is no way I can know what size trunks are going to go on the rack so I try to use a standard size when making the racks.
Glad I found this thread as I want to buy a trunk and mount it on my 05 Nomad and would appreciate any sources and advice. More specifically, what model should one look for (I am assuming a harley trunk with build in back rest for passenger) and also what sort of mount is needed and what modifications are required. Please excuse my ignorance on this subject...I was born with two left hands !!!!! Just about anything mechanical is beyond my scope. HELP ! Emails would be appreciate to <kyeager@greennet.de>.
Opps...sorry Wompus...posted before I completely read the thread....Looks like what I want is easily available. Sorry again.

I have my Tour Pak mounted on a Wompus and its solid as can be, with no additional metal used to increase the size of the base. I guess it may depend on how far back you mount the trunk.

There is the actual "Harley trunk" which is a Harley Davidson product, and then there is the generic "harley trunk" which is any sort of rear-mounted luggage for a motorcycle. Search for "harley trunk" on eBay and you'll see what I mean.
I have a Mutazu DMY trunk on a Wompus rack, definitely NOT an HD product, but they are classified on eBay as a harley trunk.

Love the patch.
I also sent off an Email: http://www.pipersenterprises.com/
And Mike: (wompus) just wanted to send off a note for you--I love my wompus rack. It's been awesome--and fit my Corbin Streamliner trunk perfectly-----I still get tons of compliments.
