Finally talked my buddy into buying his first motor in 25+ years. He has always drooled over my 2007 Nomad and after much looking around, internet surfing, and second guessing he finally order his 2008 Nomad. He has never been one to allow himself any toys or pleasure, just a work-a-holic for his family's sake. His motor needs a luggage rack and I'm going to buy him one as a congrats gift so he can go on some longer rides with me and boys. Any one know a good sight for a reasonable luggage rack for a 2008 Nomad?

Cobra makes a nice one for the Nomad. A lot of people think they look better than the Fire & Steel model.

+1, Cobra is a great looking option. There have been a few for sale here the last while for a decent price. You can find them on eBay for around $130 new I think.

I knew someone around here would step up and help a fellow rider out with a good deal.
Don't forget to have your friend stop by and say hello.

Here's my Cobra rack on my '08 Nomad.

Looks good and works good, but a normal bungee cord won't hook over the rack if you're going from left to right. I had to get fabric loops to go over the rack and then hook up the bungee cords.

I personally like the looks of the fire and steel a whole lot more but wish it sat a little lower like the cobra
