I am set on Dunlop E III in 150/80H -16 and these guys have it as $155.99.
For me this is a ft tire. I want radial if possible.. is there a R 16?
Can I beat this price anywhere? I will be installing this by hand myself.

The Dunlop site doesn't show a 16" radial for the E3, only a bias.

Dunlop only has Bias Ply that fit our bikes. Bias Ply is what originally came with our bikes. I was told here that is what the bike is tuned for. Someone put a warning on using a Radial on the front, but it was ok on the back? Metzler makes a radio that will fit the front, and Avon.

I do believe there are many members here who run a radial on the front with no problem. I hope that is the case as I am having my Avon Cobra radial front tire put on today. I have the Avon Cobra radial rear tire on also.

Well Dk has this D 251 in radial for the VN2000D Vulcan , at $146.99.
My system won't let me see the 5 dollar fee thingy... Anyone able to read that at DK?
Looks like this (Tire fee of $5.00 applies (details) ) i click it and nothing happens....
here is the page (I hope) http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/tire/p....fCatId=&mmyId = (http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/tire/product.jsp?skuId=542895&store=Main&catId=&productId=p541241&leafCatId=&mmyId=)

There's something wrong on that page, I get a "Done but with error on page" message. Nothing happens when clicking on the "details."

Mac, that link for the tire fee doesn't work for me either. I do know that the fee is correct, $5 per tire. Also, if you find the tire cheaper at another site/company, Dennis Kirk will beat that price by a buck. I've done this several times when ordering from them, as the shipping is only one day away here. You simply mention the site/company that has a better price, they put you on hold for a minute or two to verify, and then they'll give you the price for a buck cheaper. I've always had great success with Dennis Kirk. As I said, they're only a state away from me, so the shipping is incredibly fast.

Unfortunately, Motorcycle Superstore doesn't list a Dunlop E-III in 150/80x16. At least I couldn't find it anywhere.

You should not put a radial on front, if you have a bias on the back. It is ok to do radial on the rear and bias on front or 2 bias or 2 radails.

Ah, I see it now. Silly me, I had looked under "cruiser" tires. Stll $5 more than Sport Tour LTD, though.

I am guessing the 'fee' is a Federal tax built in with the mc super store price, ands is built in with most other stores. That's just a guess though.
The super store is in Cal, so far as I know. I don't know where DK is, but speed isn't any issue to me..
I have a car tire radial on back now by Dunlop. The Sp 5000.
There is a 30 dollar difference for the Dunlop D 251, vrs the Elite III.
I don't know which way I will go yet.
I do know when I get the tire, which ever it is the entire ft end will be serviced. That will be brake fluid up there, grease, bearings if any are needed which I don't think are, but if they are they will be done, and perhaps new fork oil, which hasn't shown any sign of wear in the just over 10,000 miles on them.
For me it is easiest to service things when other work is taking place. All of this will happen in late May or early June.

Mac, not sure exactly what you are looking for here. Any particular reason you're strickly looking at Dunlop front tire?
I'm using Avon Cobra radial front with Dunlop SP5000. Seems like a great combination for me. Have over 6,000 miles on the Avon Cobra front....no cupping yet and probably will get another 5-6000 out of it which would make it better than any other front tire I have used.
Dennis Kirk is Drag Specilities retail operation.
Noted for having good customer service.
Last year, I returned a Metzler 880 rear after putting approx 1000 miles on it. They gave me full refund, no questions asked.

Dk only because I had good luck with other Dunlops... I have liked Avon tires too before, but was seeking high miles and didn't know anyone who got them with Avon... And you just opened that door...
