yesterday, after a night with some rain, I went out looking for puddles that would make good reflection shots of the bike.

Here's my favorite from yesterday.

Yes it was a good puddle. I probably took 10 shots around different spots on the puddle trying to get a good reflection of the background.

This was the puddle

I thought it was great for a reflection. I couldn't tell from the real thing.

Surprisingly, Dan's bike isn't going up the fire escape http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

looks like you have do some mod's on your bike Dan. Missing passenger backrest, etc. Nice pic too.

Neat photography, I don't have a very good imagination for taking pics. Glad someone does.

That is a great picture. It took me a few seconds to realize it was a reflection.

Great picture. I would have never known it was a reflection if you wouldn't have said it was.

Doc, I made some shackles to lower the grab bars for a rack I made for a trunk, then sold the trunk. I'd have to take off the bags to put it all back to how it should be, and haven't been motivated to do it.

If I put the backrest on how it sits, it would be leaning a few degrees back too far.

Thanks for the compliments guys. And yes Markus, I'm kind of the Artsy-type :) At least I like to think so.

Here is one of my favorite reflection photos I've taken.

What camera are you using to get that clarity ?

What camera are you using to get that clarity ?

I'm using a Cannon A530. It's a 2005-2006 model, they've certainly upgraded since then I'm sure. It's not an SLR, its just a small camera that fits in my windshield bag.

I'm not gadgety, so I just use the automatic setting. After I crop it and rotate it, I run it through Picasa (Googles photo editor, free download) and use it's automatic contrast fixer.

A photoshopper could do a much better job, I just snap the pic in automatic mode, and do the contrast in automatic mode. A knowledgeable person could do a lot more with a photo than I know how to do.

I still don't believe that first one is a reflection, Dan, you have a gift! Jamie

Dan's the kind of guy you want on your rides. He can make us all look good with his photo gift. Keep up the good work Dan and keep sharing those photos. They are inspiring.

If he can make this clan look good he deserves some big $$$$
