View Full Version : Who has the highest mileage?

05-03-2009, 10:42 PM
Just curious, how many miles everyone has on their rides.

I have an '03 with 16000. I realize that I'm not gonna be the top of the heap with these numbers, but I think its a great thing how many miles these bikes can go.

07 with 12,000 in the 1 1/2 years I have owned it. My buddy bought his 07 three months after mine and he has over 35,000. Lots of trips to California and Arizona and rides year round all the time. Neither of us has had a lick of trouble. He had a 1500 before the Nomad and he had over 50,000 on it.

2004 bought real late in Feb. 09 with 1427 miles. I have put on 5 miles since I purchased it due to painting.
I'm going to put the new exhaust and speakers on this week along with the tins and I should hopefully be riding it in the next week or two. As long as all the parts are ready and dry enough I do suppose.

'07 with 10,370. Replacing the rear Bridgestone this morning with the Cobra. A friend I rode with this past Saturday has 93,000 on his '99 HD. I picked up a slight scent of burning oil the few minutes I was riding behind him. No smoke that I could see though.

The question came up on the delphi forum and Quinton Grubbs, AKA Qdog, as of July last year had 229K on his 2003 Nomad. I doubt anyone else comes close. :)

What your impression of the Cobra tires. I'm real happy with mine.

Bought my '07 new last yr and starting riding it in May. I now have almost 15,000 miles on it.

Wow. We've got a few members with some major miles on their bikes. I bought my 2005 in March of this year with exactly 13700. It now has 15790.

What and when should I expect things to start needing replacement and/or extensive work?

My 08 has only 8k, most of which were ridden last year. Since I took my bike back to Texas last fall, from Mexico, I haven't been able to ride it much, nor seen it. Sadness.... :( :'(
